Overall, our stay was good, but there are several areas that could be improved. Cleanliness: There were some cleanliness issues. I noticed a dirty spot on the pillow that I used, and the sofa also looked a little dirty. Housekeeping: Housekeeping was quite late during our stay. On some days, we went out around 11am and returned around 2pm, but the room still had not been cleaned. Housekeeping usually came around 4–5pm, which was inconvenient as we were already back at the hotel by then. Bed: We selected a king-size bed, but it felt smaller than a standard king-size bed. I’m not sure if the actual bed size was as advertised, so it may be worth clarifying. Room facilities: The chiller was not cold enough; the temperature was around 22°C, so it was not very effective for keeping things properly chilled. At night, the air-conditioning would switch to an automatic mode where it stopped blowing once the room reached a certain temperature and then started again later. This made the room temperature fluctuate and was slightly uncomfortable while sleeping. Toiletries: The toilet paper quality could also be improved. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but improving housekeeping timing, cleanliness, room facilities and some of the basic amenities would make the experience much better.

I last visited Novotel in late March 2026 to visit family and returned September 30th to October 1st 2026. I was very satisfied with my stay although the bathroom could use better cleaning. The shower floor had some hair and pebbles/materials that should have been removed or disposed of before I arrived in my room 1209. I was most looking forward to the food at the hotel. I ordered Chinese Style Fried Rice on my last stay in March 2026 and was looking forward to it when I returned in September - October 2026. It was just as delicious as I remembered. I look forward to having it again next time. Compliments to the chef.

Overall, the hotel was excellent, with a great location and convenient access to nearby restaurants, shops, and other amenities. The staff were absolutely outstanding—friendly, helpful, and professional. I only had two minor issues during my stay: Bathroom: The shower was not working, and as it was already late, I had to use the rain shower instead. I was also surprised that hand towels were not provided, especially for a four-star hotel. Parking: If you are driving, be prepared to drive up approximately six floors using a rather narrow ramp, and take the same route when exiting. Despite these minor quirks, this is a wonderful hotel, and I would still highly recommend it.

My shower having issue with the handle and outlet. it shall be found earlier and room shall be sealed to stay. i got feedback that still can be used. really disspointed since i am happy during my first stay. but for the second stay i really regret ro choose to stay here

Near to Tasik Taiping, we went to Tasik Taiping everyday during our stayed! Strategic location to Zoo Taiping, Muzium Perak, Muzium Telegraph. We went to Taiping by ETS and commute at Taiping by Grab. Adventure trip as family with 1 daughter. And I love the breakfast and team. Recommend to everyone and will come again later.
