Great hotel

James A Pobyt służbowy - Opinia zatwierdzona w TripAdvisor

I recently stayed at the Novotel Canary Wharf for a business trip and couldn't be more pleased with my experience, hence my 5-star rating. The service was exceptional, particularly from Rado and a blonde lady at the reception, whose name I regrettably have forgotten. They were both incredibly attentive and helpful, making my check-in and stay seamless and welcoming. The highlight of my mornings was undoubtedly the fantastic breakfast service, where Alina stood out with her remarkable hospitality. The Novotel Canary Wharf has become my go-to hotel for business trips, thanks to its outstanding staff and excellent amenities. Highly recommended!

Thank you so much James A for this great 5 star review about your stay with us. We love your personal mention of Rado and as you can see from many reviews on here, he just loves what he does :). Alina runs a great breakfast up in the SKY and we are very proud of her and her team. We look forward to welcoming you back and continuing to look after you so well Jacqui & The Canary Wharf Family

The London Marathon - Historic Attempt!

NWDave69 Opinia zatwierdzona w TripAdvisor

I am proud to have been project lead, overseeing a five strong team complete final preparations at the Novotel London Canary Wharf, that saw Julie McElroy became the first female frame runner to complete the London Marathon! To that end I wanted to leave the hotel a review to thank the team for all they did, ensuring our stay in the capital was as relaxing and smooth as it could have been, which was essential to the success of this historic challenge. I must pay particular homage to the breakfast staff, who were uber professional in their dealings with us and super attentive and helpful, as were the staff in the hotels front of house. Certainly our room was clean, comfortable and well equipped with great views over the city. The beds were comfortable and the room temperature perfect, that ensured we all got a good nights sleep. If for any reason I find myself in that part of the world again, to be sure to book a return stay with you. My thanks in particular to Jacqui McMillan and Anna Manauro, with whom I had communication with prior to our visit who was super helpful and speedy with her responses. Well done to all and our thanks!

Thanks NWDave69 for sharing this great marathon experience you had with us. We really were very proud to play even a small part in Julie's amazing achievement. I am thrilled of course to read how well everything went including the build up that Anna and myself helped with. We really hope we will welcome you all back again next year if not before Many thanks Jacqui, Anna & The Canary Wharf Family

Thought I was going to be homeless 🙃

Booked my room in January. Three days before travelling was told there was a system issue meaning my booking had to be moved to Shoreditch. I asked to be moved closer to the O2 Arena and could see Canary Wharf had availability so asked to be moved to there. That took two days to sort out. I had verbal and email confirmation of saying I was staying in Canary Wharf. I arrive at Canary Wharf my reservation is nowhere to be found. It took 15 mins before being passed to the manager. The manager took another 15-20 minutes called reservations and said my booking was nowhere to be seen. I showed and emailed the confirmation of the original hotel telling I had been moved. He then turns around and says it’s okay it will be sorted, but for now looking at our rates it will be £240 for the night including breakfast. Me and my friend stand confused like why is he on about rates we paid five months ago. He wanted £240 “guarantee” and would sort my issue out after getting us to pay for another room and checked in. I was there for a concert so barely had enough money for a meal for the next day. I told him I can’t afford that. He turns around and says “Unfortunately there’s nothing more I can do right now. If you take a seat over there I will make a few calls.” I’m in tears at this point thinking great me and my friend are homeless in a city we don’t know. So we start calling two possible hotels where my booking could be: Shoreditch or Canning Town. Shoreditch didn’t have it. Canning Town could see the booking but my friend was waiting to be passed onto reception. The manager comes over saying he called Canning Town and that we were correct and that my booking was with them. Overall by the time we got into our room it took 1 hour 30 mins to check us in. As someone who works in hospitality the compassion from the manager was appalling. Why did you not call the hotel who handled the booking in the first place? Why was the priority taking money off me first? We were told if we were to stay with them again we would be treated “special”, but I will HARD PASS, because f*** going through that again. If you have read this far, go book with Travelodge or Premier Inn because it may be basic but your booking will be in safer hands. (Photo attached is the opposite of the service provided FYI xo)

Thank you Holls2002x for your review. I have investigate your issues that you highlighted. I am sorry that this issue occurred however I would like to explain below that this really was not our fault and we did our best for you on the evening when you arrived to sort it out. Your original booking was never made at this hotel and the original hotel that you had booked enquired with us on the day before your arrival with them the possibility to relocate you here as I believe they had overbooked. We advised them that we would be able to take your booking, confirmed a price with them and then waited for them to confirm your reservation once they had spoken with you about the relocation. At this point we were not asked to make a reservation for you so we didn't. Late on that evening (around 10.00 pm) after the Reservations Manager had left for annual leave the hotel you had booked with sent an e-mail to her. She had left her "out of office" on reply confirming she was not in the office and gave details of another e-mail address to send urgent e-mails too. I am sorry to say that they didn't resend the e-mail therefore we did not make a reservation for you nor did the hotel you booked with follow up on this relocation for you. So of course when you did arrive at my hotel, we had no note of your reservation with us, nor did we know which hotel you had originally booked with. We were fully booked that night and of course very busy with arrivals so I am sorry that it did take some time to sort this out but we did our best with very little knowledge about the relocation. As you have also said you were also not sure if it was Shoreditch or Canning town you had booked with. I understand you had already paid another hotel but to get you checked in quickly of course we need to ask for a guarantee which we did say was only a pre-authorisation and would be released back you as soon as we had got the information from the hotel you had originally booked with. I am sorry but we can't just book rooms without a payment guarantee. I am sorry you had this experience of being relocated from your original hotel and please be assured that we did everything we could to make this experience easier. We had such little information and I do believe your issues/concerns and frustrations should be addressed to the hotel that you booked with back in January who outbooked you. If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me on jacqui.mcmillan@accor.com Kind regards Jacqui McMillan General Manager

Family visit.

An amazing hotel where they cater for families and business. I have stayed here with business and family and feel this review was needed. I can highly recommend this hotel for many reasons mostly how they make you feel on welcome and provide an amazing stay. A great location with easy access from the underground and just far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. The pool and gym add even more luxury after a busy time in London or just when you need to chill. The breakfast is amazing with views to kill. A massive selection of foods on offer and then go and relax in the upstairs balcony again with spectacular views. Jacqui the manager who personally greeted us is an amazing host who recommends places to go and see. Thanks to her and all the staff to making this hotel home from home. Will be coming back for sure. Thanks again.

We love your 5 star review Carl, thank you so much for sharing your amazing experiences with us. It is always such a pleasure to welcome you and your family here and love being your "home away from home". We look forward to welcoming you back and looking after you again so well soon Jacqui & The Canary Wharf Family

Excellent Short Stay in Canary Wharf

The hotel is situated only a few mins walk away from Canary Wharf tube station and is easy to find. The hotel is modern and pretty chic and cool. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and were offered a room on the 30th floor (I had requested a high floor when booking). The room was great. All expected amenities were present and correct and everything was spotlessly clean and in very good order. The view was excellent. Noise levels were very low. We used the indoor pool/spa during our stay (very good). We had breakfast in the 37th floor restaurant - very good choice and quality of food and views to die for. Hotel staff were friendly and courteous. We would stay here again.

We love your 5 star review SussexAdventurers and we also love being "chic" and "cool" :). The views are fabulous and I am also thrilled to see that we accommodated your request for a high floor. Delighted that you will stay with us again and we are looking forward to it. Jacqui & The Canary Wharf Family
