Our trip to Geneva was a last minute decision to see in the new year. Summary: This hotel should not be in operation until they have dealt with the fundamental issues. Arrival: We arrived at the hotel at 8pm on December 31st, and were greeted by a welcoming front desk staff member. We were allocated a room and advised on where to go to see the fireworks. We were also told the hotel is going through a renovation. This is no excuse for what we were faced with when we entered our room. We were also told the room would not be cleaned during our stay. Positives - The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room shower was nice and hot and powerful. The hotel is in a great location. Negatives - The room (small studio) was nothing short of disgusting. The temperature was extremely hot with no option to cool it down due to the thermostat not working. The only thing we could do was open the window. Myself and my husband had booked a double standard studio room but spent the 3 nights sleeping on two single beds that were pushed together with no fastening to keep them together and no mattress topper. 3 nights of awful sleep where the two beds just kept separating and also moved away from a makeshift head board. The hard mattress was so uncomfortable. (See images) The curtain was hanging off the window so unless the thick curtains were drawn, the adjacent private apartments had a direct view right into our room. (See images) The bathroom needs to be ripped out. It was impossible to have a shower without water going all over the floor. This was due to there being nothing in-between the shower doors to prevent this. The doors to the bathroom and small kitchenette have severe wear and tear. (See images) Part of the coffee machine in the room was so filthy and stained so we took it down to reception and were told it would be handed to housekeeping and that they would replace it with a clean one. This never happened. Overall, the room was dark and very depressing. Forget trying to get a good night's sleep. The hotel lobby and corridors are filthy with dust and there are carpet stains everywhere. If you want breakfast, a small continental breakfast is brought to your room at a chosen time. This costs the equivalent of £11 per person. There is no restaurant and no eating area. Our opinion: This "hotel" should close until they have renovated. It's unacceptable to charge people to stay in such conditions at the same time as renovating. Also, do not market yourselves as a 3 or depending on where you look, a 4 star hotel. The current condition of this hotel should not hold any stars.

Great location walking distance to much on offer in Geneva

First time staying at an Adagio Aparthotel. The hotel was a short walk from the main train station and also lots of bus routes. Enjoyed the spaciousness of the hotel and also they got me a room even though I turned up very early. Room was spacious with a micro kitchen and a spacious bathroom. Be prepared that there is no room servicing unless you stay longer than 8 nights. Only downside is the proximity of the hotel to the red light district but I felt quite safe throughout my stay.

Not worthy of Accor Hotels.

I am a big supporter of Accor Hotels, but this one was a disappointment. Location is good, it is easy to get to from the trainstation and close to the lake. However, the common parts are tired, not particularily clean, the wifi is slow or absent and the room fixtures are worn and or dont fully work. Staff do their best, but this hotel is simply not pleasant and I will not come back.

Average hotel, felt in need of a major update, bathroom felt unclean (stains on the ceiling, shower curtain brown bottom). Room itself was clean and airconditioned. Staff helpful. Lots of outside noise. Good location, easy walk to lake Geneva - big bonus.

From the minute Yassine greeted us we were pleased that we chose the hotel. The location is good and you can get to the Lake and train station easily. Yassine pointed us to restaurants and attractions and organised a travel pass too- nothing was too much trouble. We had booked for breakfast but the hotel breakfast place was closed for an upgrade. However, Florence delivered 5 continental breakfasts every morning of our stay. The food was plentiful! It was actually nice to have a little kitchenette as we made sandwiches one lunchtime and the washing up liquid and cleaning cloths were also supplied. The space was very clean. The aircon took a bit to crank up, and our view of the "park" with the homeless and ladies of the night was worrying but we felt safe despite this.
