Overall it was OK. There are many positives that go with this property. The beach Location and being so close to Sydney is a major plus. The gardens are beautiful and the golf course is sensational. The quality of the accommodation was OK but there were a few things that could be improved. Our air conditioning never worked. We reported it on the day we arrived and the front desk Jason was very attentive and organised for maintenance to attend the next morning. The maintenance guy did attend but he seemed annoyed at us for not knowing how to operate the aircon. After all that the aircon still didn’t work. It was fortunate that the weather was in the mid 20s otherwise we would have been pretty uncomfortable. The dishwasher would not open either. After the experience we had with the aircon guy we decided not to bother reporting it and washed up by hand. On our first night we went to have dinner at the restaurant opposite the bistro. We were a little after 8pm on the Friday and waited for the wait staff while they were dealing with someone who was unhappy about something. By the time the wait staff were done it was 10 past 8 and we were informed that they we no longer accepting diners which was a surprise. The guy wasn’t very friendly about it either. We had dinner at the pizza place across the lobby. The staff there were much friendlier but they got our order wrong and served a seafood pizza instead of the margarita we ordered. It was OK but the other pizza sausage and potato wasn’t great. So unfortunately we did not have a positive dining experience at your property. I had booked this hotel for the golf course and the beach before I read the reviews. I’m glad I did because the over all experience was much better than all the negative reviews online. I think this properly is not far off from being really excellent. Some attention to the wear and tear would go a long way. But for $700+ per night the aircon should work and if it doesn’t the maint staff should sure as hell make sure it does or look after your guests by offering another room if you can. Despite all of this we enjoyed our stay and will probably return. For your information I prefer to stay with Accor properties.

Pullman Magenta Shores has always been a home away from home for us, for more than a decade (a few times a year). Once there our loyalty is always recognised and it’s great to see the same familiar faces often still there. As always CAZ from the restaurant is a standout for service, to the point where my children know her name. Treated very well from start of the trip until the end, and all requests were granted. The children’s menu is a massive improvement from the last trip, now covering even the fussier member of our family. Keep up the great service - we will see you in a few weeks.

BLACK MOULD PRESENT! BEWARE! We stayed at this resort for 3 nights between Christmas and new years and please don’t believe their claim that they are 5 star. You are better off staying in the caravan parks down the road. My wife is pregnant and due to the mouldy carpets and curtains, she has been extremely ill and in and out of hospital. Housekeeping will cost you extra. No phone in the room so if you need towels and toilet paper you will need to walk to reception and get them yourself. If you check in early, they won’t call you when your room is ready, you will need to figure that out yourself. The breakfast is subpar at best and for $35, you get dry inedible bacon, stale bread, extremely bland eggs and for barista mode coffee, you will need to pay extra. The pools are badly maintained, bar is never open, dirt and debris in the water. Do not stay here if you value your money. You are better off staying in the Sydney CBD or going to the hunter Valley.

This is what I shared via Google review already: Hotel is Ok, first impression was good but clearly they need to pay attention to details.. some renovations must happen, otherwise the feeling is that the owner simply do not care at all for their guests. Staff is not well trained, they must do a better job not only in terms of courtesy but to treat guests well and to make them feel at least at a four stars hotel! This is definitely not a 5 stars hotel. No room service, for the Christmas Day nothing was available for guests and the only opened restaurant needed booking.. as excuse the Manager left a paper with some suggestions like : you can go to a Maccas, Dominos.. Oh yeah!! That’s the great experience I was looking for when I booked some holidays at this “Resort” with my kid (4yo) sooooo disappointing!!! To just make everything an even better experience.. my wifi connection was failing all the time, so when at our room, we couldn’t enjoy any streaming because it was lagging all the time.. that lovely connection issues errors were happening all the time! Asking at reception for some alternative.. nothing was available.. and they knew about the connection issues! Well.. another not pleasant experience was the breakfast.. poor fruit options, no fresh juices, just artificial ones, coffee machine to get your hot coffee ..not tasteful at all The pastry was really bad too Another fact.. swimming pool has a bar.. it was closed! There is a heated pool.. it was not warm.. or maybe almost warm.. Ah and there is a sauna.. and yeah.. it was not hot at all.. The balcony of our room was super dirty, we could not step outside barefoot.. I had high expectations and I felt disappointed

The accommodation was not clean, sheets were stained and the room had bugs and insects. The bathroom had bad odour. Golf was great but the rest of the resort was very underwhelming.
