Good location but the hotel in need of renovation!

The hotel is very well located within walking distance of main attractions. The building is in front of a beautiful park. However the building looks old and is in bad shape. The entrance is not nice at all and the lobby is not inviting. Very dark area and looks shady too. The personnel is very helpful and professional but the space is awful it needs a renovation as soon as possible. The lifts also need to be updated - just the carpet of the lift is already not clean at all - it would be washed at least. The carpet on the floors also looks old. The rooms have a nice size and the beds are comfortable - the bed sheets are fine but the furnitures looks very old. The windows are all dirty you cannot even look outside - so dirty they are! The bathrooms also need to be updated. They are clean but look all old and used. It is a pity that this hotel is in such bad shape. As an Accor member I will be careful to not consider Pullman as an option next time. I rather go for an Ibis Styles -in all honesty. I was in this trip also staying at a Novotel and it was way better. At least you should consider doing something to the hotel entrance. Please consider improving it along with the hotel bar that change could bring you more clients I am sure!

I visited the Pullman Sydney Hyde park earlier this month for business. The staff/team were fantastic and service overall was very pleasant and seemless. My satisfaction for the 5 star hotel only decreased when proceeded to the room. The carpet was rolled up in the hallway, paint coming off the trims. The room iteslf was spacious, but dated interior. the 1990's spa was cracked and felt like it just needed an over all modernisation. The bed was very comfortable, rooms were quiet with satisfactory levels of instant coffee/tea etc. While the service/Pullman team were certainly 5 star quality, I felt the room let the over all luxury experience down for the expectations the star system provide.

Not too bad - I would have thought after staying with the hotel on so many occasions I may have received a room upgrade . Window was teeeivly dirty on the outside which gave obscured views of Hyde Park
