Grubby and disappointing.

Very disappointing stay. This hotel is very run down. Furniture frayed and tired. Broken tiles on balcony, cracked toilet lid, a festival of mold in the bathroom, stain splatter across window blinds, wall and carpet, bed was hot and uncomfortable.

The location is wonderful. Good views and central to everything. Asked to see room before checking in, due to reviews I had read. Front desk agent Miah was very helpful. We had no trouble sleeping, but weren’t there during a weekend when the bars could be noisy. Mostly had all we needed in the room. Nespresso machine good; only kitchen scissors and paper towels missed. These rooms are privately owned, so I imagine some were kept up better than others. Our Room 308 was good.

This hotel is in a great location and unfortunately that is all it has to offer. Our room was filthy, bathroom covered in mold, stained carpets and piles of dust on every surface. They offer basic amenities like bathrobes, but then don’t have them when you ask. Housekeeping skipped our room one day but even when they came they would take all of the towels and not replace them with the same amount, which resulted in a call to the front desk everyday. We paid extra for a harbor view room; the view is nice but beware that it is right over the restaurant area and there were live bands that would start around 10 pm which resulted in lost sleep.

Organized two night stay with wife for All Blacks game, arrived late, entered room 504 and was meet with cigarette burn on the carpet, shower and bathroom mouldily and tired and there must be a water leak in kitchen area due to damp smell through out the room.. cracked tiles and damaged paint work, bed was well pass replacement as it sagged in the middle, .. next morning, dealing with staff whom were helpful and helped relocated us to a better room 103.. was informed that each room are privately owned so its up to owner to keep it up to date??.. anyway, good location but for the $$$ per night I would recommend somewhere else..

Room pretty basic but great to have laundry facilities. Nice gym across road but costs 10 dollars. Lovely pool also. Location nice
