I recently stayed for 15 nights whilst I was in Edinburgh for work. The staff were lovely and welcoming. During my stay there was a rave at Ingliston and the hotel was at capacity and the staff coped amazingly with the drunken (& other substances) revellers. They never appeared flustered or off-hand.

It's a budget hotel so you can't expect much. This is probably the most budget you will ever get. It's one tiny step up from a youth hostel. Room just about clean. WiFi very spotty. Bed comfy. Free tea and coffee at reception but it's basic stuff. Very crowded and a bit of an intimidating place. Wouldn't use an ibis budget again, a little too basic.
