Terrible experience. The soft loo paper was the highlight of the stay.

Don’t…… Reception staff were pleasant and good, nice welcome. Room is awful. Not clean, in particular the bathroom. However, loo paper is lovely and soft - very pleasant surprise :) Walls are paper thin can hear tv’s in both rooms next door and all ablutions. Not so pleasant. Communal areas not clean, the carpets in the hallways are filthy. Bar and restaurant staff could only have been ruder if they’d told me to @@@@ off when I was trying to order my food. Literally threw a menu at me when I asked for one. Couldn’t / wouldn’t help when I asked to what the veggie options were. Could only get a bottle of sparkling water - no still. No eye contact with me and talking to colleagues all the time rather than focussing on me, the customer. Never seen such a disinterested girl behind the bar. Needless to say the £17 veggie burger failed to live up to its description and was terrible. It it hadn’t been 930 at night after a long drive to get here, I’d have given it them back and gone elsewhere for food. This is the second awful recent experience of Mercure hotels and my last.

Booked this hotel for business. Check-in was easy, and both receptionist staff were helpful and cheerful. My room was on the third floor, and this was warm,clean, and supplied with complimentary coffee tea and a nice touch, a packet of biscuits. OK, the bed was really large, and this restricted some of the room towards the window, but it was so comfy. I had dinner in the restaurant, the food was good and cooked to my liking. I was well looked after by the lovely Alison, who also informed me the breakfast was also good. So to breakfast, eggs cooked as you wish, bacon sausage, mushrooms, beans, hash brown, and to my personal delight, fried bread. A chef after my own heart. A nice added touch was individual milk bottles on the tables for cereal. Car parking is free, and there is plenty of space between vehicles. I'm looking forward to a return Well done Mercure you knocked spots off my previous hotel stay at the Hilton at Silverstone.

A rare find - a hotel room with a double and two single beds! As a family of four this is much appreciated. We stayed to attend a nearby wedding. Room was clean, but a bit tired. Good breakfast buffet and swimming pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall could do with some modernisation, but would stay again due to the room layout and friendly staff.

Mine and my wife’s wedding reception was at the Mecure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel on 9th Nov 2024. It was an absolute pleasure and they really looked after us and had such a great time! The room we slept in was spacious and clean. They even put up an extra bed for us in case our son was staying with us without even asking which was such a nice gesture of them :-) breakfast in the morning was IMMENSE! So tasty and amazing amount of options!! The staff were so so friendly and just a pleasure to meet. We will be staying again for sure :D
