This hotel is perfectly positioned in Edinburgh for my requirements. It is clean and has a dining room with wonderful views of the castle and gardens. My room had a view of a brick building and filled constantly with disturbing electrical sounds from outside. The room was a good size for me and had everything I needed.

I had a package that was to be delivered to the hotel. It was held by customs and I had to extend my stay a couple of days. The staff was very accommodating with arranging for me to stay in the same room for the extra days. The would give me updates on any information regarding the delivery of the package that they received. Craig and Sara, at the front desk, were especially helpful and did everything they could to assist with the delivery of the package.

The stay was excellent the room had a superb view with nice balcony to take it all in. Staff very friendly. Breakfast excellent also so much choice and very relaxed setting.

The staff were all very helpful and it was a nice change to have my traditional breakfast cooked fresh rather than the serve yourself buffet style. The location was perfect positioned centre of Princes Street so overall it was first class.

Small room.

Rooms are too small. There was about one foot (12 inches) clearance between the foot of the bed and the wall. Also, upon arrival, our safe did not function properly. Making a very long story short, it took 2 replacement safes, 2 trips from one staffer, and 3 trips from another staffer to get it working. Bathroom was tiny. Location is good but, other than than, I see no reason to stay there again.
