I booked a privilege room as I usually do with Mercure hotels just to give some added comfort when staying away, usually the privilege rooms a more updated than others, not in this case, there were next to no sockets for charging mobile devices and not one socket in the bedroom area at all. Bed wasn’t comfy, room was tired and dated, no sockets. Not pleasant

Went today with my wife for a lovely afternoon tea, it was a birthday present from our granddaughter. The table service was 1st class from a lovely lady called Irene and we both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. There was that much to eat neither of us managed to finish it, so Irene gave us both a plastic container box to take away with us all that was left....Thanks Irene

Tired Hotel that needs a referb

The room was tired with a rip in the bed fabric, a large crack in the bathroom sink and a miss matched toilet seat. Wi-Fi was too slow for a TEAMS meeting so I had to use my phone data to get on line.

We were travelling a long distance to attend a wedding nearby and needed early access to our rooms to get ready. On arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and confirmed our rooms were ready for us. We had a light snack in the bar which was very well prepared and served by a delightful lady. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was good and plentiful with attendant staff welcoming and helpful. Overall it was a great stay.
