Mercure Bristol North the Grange Hotel 4 estrelas

Beautiful building in lovely grounds, but hotel really needs a revamp. Room was quite large but really outdated and shabby, however it was clean. Bed quite hard, as were the pillows. Staff on the whole were very pleasant especially the hostess for breakfast. Lady serving dinner kept complaining how busy she was, although there were only 3 tables in for dinner. So service slow & not attentive, food was adequate. Breakfast was very good.

Once again the Grange came up trumps, I had my birthday party here on 20th May, everything was first class, the staff couldn’t enough to make sure the party was wonderful, the service was first class and the buffet was delicious, Imhave used the Grange forma number of years for different events and they never dissappoint. Thank everyone for making my birthday a wonderful time.

Been staying in this hotel for 3 weeks for work purposes. Room was nice ,clean and comfortable.The hotel had a lovely atmosphere .The manager and staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend a stay at this hotel. Will be staying here again.

Location was great to break up a long drive up the UK. Hotel is in a beautiful rural setting and makes for a nice walk around. Breakfast was included, which was an attractive inclusion for us. Room was perfectly set up with two trundle beds for the two children and there was still enough room for us to move around. There was no small fridge in the room. Restaurant was nice. Food can be purchased from rooms, bar and restaurant which made it particularly busy and they were short staffed meaning there was a wait for food. Breakfast had a great selection and was very tasty.

Lovely setting and very pleasant staff. Sadly the ladies cleaning the rooms let themselves down by dropping the F bomb and others during conversation between themselves for all to hear as we were going back to our room on the top floor Sunday. There was dirty crockery sitting on the landing table above reception for two days. It’s a lovely building but could do with a tidy up, especially the stairway going up to rooms 503 etc, it’s very tired and grubby unfortunately. It’s not very welcoming. The room itself was very nice, the bathroom was ok. The breakfast was lovely, good selection. Sadly the bar closes at 11 on a Saturday and you have to order any drinks via reception, which took an absolute age! As there was 8 of us, they could have made a fair amount from the bar tab if we could have ordered direct from the bar.
