Dear Bristolgirl1992, I am deeply sorry to hear about your recent experience at Bristol North The Grange Hotel. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the numerous issues you encountered during your stay. This is certainly not the standard of service we strive to provide our guests, especially on a special occasion. Waiting 20 minutes to check in without any staff present is unacceptable, and I apologize for this inconvenience. The condition of the room you described is shocking and clearly does not meet our cleanliness and maintenance standards. The issues you highlighted, such as cobwebs, dirty carpets and bedding, marked walls, dead flies, urine on the floor, and an unclean tap, are completely unacceptable. I assure you that we are taking immediate steps to address these issues with our housekeeping contractors and maintenance teams to ensure this does not happen again. I understand how disappointing and frustrating this must have been, especially given the special occasion and the effort you put into arranging childcare and traveling. We are currently reviewing our processes to ensure that such lapses do not occur in the future. Regarding the refund, I apologise for the delay and the inconvenience it caused. We will follow up with Booking.com to expedite the process and ensure you receive your refund as soon as possible. I understand that an apology cannot undo the unpleasant experience you had, but I would like to offer you a complimentary stay in the future as a gesture of goodwill.
