Positives: Layout of the hotel, its location, breakfast area. Service of staff is good and breakfast has a big selection. Negatives: The air-conditioning cannot be turned off hence there is a constant buzz in the room. Also it seems like it has not been serviced for a long time and emits a musty smell. Guests were holding their drinks inside the swimming pool. This is so unsanitary because am sure many spill their drinks or some of it will get into the pool. Management should forbid that.

This is not my first time staying at Grand Mercure Phuket, and each visit continues to exceed my expectations, from the warm welcome at check-in to the excellent room quality. A special shout-out to Fast, the Duty Manager, for his outstanding service. He was incredibly supportive and helpful, ensuring our stay was memorable. When I mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary, he kindly upgraded our room for the last three days of our stay and arranged an early check-in with no waiting time. I first stayed at this hotel in 2022 for my entire 14-night trip to Phuket, and it left such a lasting impression that I returned in 2024 for a 10-night visit. The exceptional service and hospitality keep me coming back, and I look forward to many more stays in the future.

Generally the hotel was in good condition. It had some minor maintenance issues, the rooms were a little on the small side and it was annoying that there was no adequate signage for the lounge.
