Ibis Hotel to never book again.

This hotel is easy to find and a great location, right next to the Underground station Wittenbergplatz. The issues that I had with the room were few, but major. I specifically looked for a hotel with Air Conditioning when I was booking. The site for this hotel says it is Air Conditioned. When I raised the issue with the staff, they told me that the system was not like those in North America. The clients in the individual rooms have no way to control the temperature in the room. Temperature control is based centrally, and varies based on the external temperature. When in my room, I would sweat unless I kept the window open. When ment I also had the pleasure of hearing the homeless people across the street arguing all times (especially at night). Thankfully, I travel with foam ear plugs. The hotel was clean, and I appreciated the value for cost. However, I didn't appreciate the lack of Air Conditioning.

Great hotel, but small rooms for 2 guests

I stayed 4 nights here solo and it was perfect for me. The whole hotel was very modern and clean, and my room was facing away from the street so it was super quiet even with the window open. The only noise I ever heard was when people talked loud while walking by in the hallway. The location was amazing for my first visit to Berlin, just a short walk from many interesting places and attractions, and it's right at the Wittenbergplatz Ubahn station, so it only takes around 15 minutes to get to central Berlin. There is an Edeka across the street, and a Lidl and a little Netto are both nearby too. Even though it was perfect for me, I think the room would be tight for 2 people, especially the room with 2 beds as it doesn't even have a table, just a small shelf and a chair at the nightstand. I also used the second bed for my clothes and tucked my bag on the other side, but I think if you had 2 people you would have to store your clothes either in your bags or on the little shelf. However, the bathroom areas were a great size, and I liked that the toilet had a separate room, so that would be great for 2 people.

Berlin is the one city where I have stayed in dozens of accommodation, from youth hostels to 5 star hotels. I've been visiting regularly for over 30 years. Ibis Budget Kurfürstendamm is one of the better low-budget hotels, even within its chain. Well located, adequately maintained and decently priced. Yes, rooms are small, but not as small as e.g. easyhotel Hackescher Markt, where you pay about the same, but get even smaller rooms at a less convenient location. Breakfast is adequate. You shouldn't expect 5 star amenities if you pay for a one-star hotel. This hotel will work for anybody understanding the concept of a budget hotel. Keep in mind, this is not even an Ibis Hotel, it is an Ibis BUDGET Hotel!

The hotel is well located with shops and restaurants nearby. Good hotel for businessmen and even for those looking for a hotel with charm.The room is convenient and the bed comfortable. Good amd simple breakfast. Clean and tidy. Good service. There is a lady at the reception her name is Imane and she is outstanding. The other staff and managers are great.
