A good base for a break in London

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. It is in an excellent location, easy to get to, and with good access to the South Bank and city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good value with a wide choice of food. The room was simply furnished but clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature could be controlled.

When we checked in on the 16/01 the girl at reception was amazing, so friendly, gave us tips and really made us feel welcome, unfortunately I only got the first 3 letters of her name Kat. Unfortunately the rest of the staff were a let down, the bar staff said the bare minimum to us, at breakfast there was absolutely no conversation from the staff to even let us know to help ourselves and find our own seats. . Checked table number nd said go ahead, We weren't expecting full blown conversation but even to say help yerselves and find your own seats would have been nice, have been to buffets in all different countries and usually on the first morning staff will give you a little advice/description. . The location of the hotel was okay for the price, breakfast was only okay. Absolutely no noise cancellation, we could hear the people's next to our shower water, in the morning we could hear a long noise which we werent sure if was a fire alam,. . I unfortunately wouldn't stay here again.

Perfect place to stay, One of the cheaper ones in london but location is perfect, as waterloo and southwark station are super close and bus stops surrounding it. felt safe at all times too. Hotel clean, staff friendly and the room had everything you need for a short stay. would defo recommend

A pleasant stay

Just had a one night stay on a business trip to London and had a great night, My room on floor 10 was clean and comfortable with fantastic views towards the London Eye. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a very pleasant night. It’s unusual for me to eat in the hotel as I usually prefer to eat out locally but on this occasion me and a number of others in the group who were in London for a meeting ate in and the food was reasonably price. We all opted for the 3 courses for £24 and were not disappointed. This was exceptionally good value considering London prices can be very expensive. Also I found drink prices to be very reasonable at £6.25 a pint for Stella Artois. Overall a very satisfactory stay
