“Disappointing Stay with Missing Basic Amenities”

Disappointed with my recent stay. Basic amenities like slippers, bathrobes, bottled water, and a mini-fridge were missing, which I expect as standard in most hotels. When I brought this up, the staff’s response was dismissive, and management didn’t address my concerns. Not the level of service I anticipated.

Bright, comfy, simple

Good base for work, very close to Southwark Underground - walkable from Waterloo too. Welcoming staff and the bar/restaurant was buzzing. Modern, bright room with decent bed & shower. Small gripe that the funky "shelving" set-up was too far away from the plug socket which meant that you have to put the kettle on the floor. The room hairdryer didn't work but was swiftly replaced.

It's impossible to rave about an Ibis hotel. The model is the same the world over. But at least you know what you're getting. And they are always, on the whole, clean and tidy and reliable. The reason I am awarding this one an unprecedented score of 4 is (1) The room we were given on the 13th floor with the most wonderful view of the London cityscape (2) The breakfast, which was better than avareage with a few good vegan options and a lovely big bowl of guacamole. Also, the location is great – an easy, fun work across the bridge into the West End - but tound the corner for The Cut and Waterloo – that have become a vibrant, colourful district in themselves.

Great stay here, everything you need catered for. 2 minutes walk to the underground and conveniently located for various activities. Buffet breakfasts can be dodgy, but was pleasantly surprised here despite what people have said on the reviews.Its really good value for money at £13.50 for as much or as many courses as you like, and ample choice even for fussy people. Beds and showers are excellent also. Will definitely be staying here again

Used the Ibis Blackfrairs for a business trip to Westminster. Good location being only a 7 minute tube ride or a 30 minute stroll along the Thames as I did. Hotel is clean and provides tea/coffee, ironing board, iron and hair dryer, wifi, plenty of sockets and a TV. The breakfast is excellent (if a little busy at times mainly because everybody is packed in a small area) - the bar has a nice relaxed vibe at night with some large TV screens should you want that and the surrounding area has a buzz of life around the bars. Bed was comfortable. Hard to find anything to complain about. Will certainly use again.
