Great hotel for weekend break

We had a fab stay which was improved by being upgraded on arrival. The room was clean spacious and comfy. The reception desk staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Round the corner is Borough market and many really good restaurants. A great base for a weekend in London.

Ok hotel, but zero privacy in bathrooms

Friendly staff, clean hotel. Good (though noisy) breakfast. Located not far from tube stations. The biggest problem is the bathrooms that have the idiotic lack of privacy that seems to be the standard in hotels nowadays. The entire bathroom wall was frosted glass so when showering, your silhouette is visible to anyone in the room. In addition the whole room lights up through the bathroom wall when someone visits the toilet at night. The bathroom door is also not lockable and is made out of two thin saloon style swing doors with huge gaps in them, offering absolutely zero privacy.
