Excellent welcome and very fast check in. Room was well appointed but a little dark with 'subtle' lighting. The main lamp in the bedroom didn't work. Couldn't phone down to reception as phone wasn't working. The full length mirror was missing which was problematic when drying my hair for a black tie event that evening. Not the hotel's fault but got awoken at 5.30am by a very loud lorry/work crew who proceeded to work for 90 minutes - surely this shouldn't have been allowed? Fortunately the windows worked well to block sound once closed. The curtains were blackout ones. Good location, just 10 mins walk from London Bridge. And superb skyline views.

Afternoon tea

We booked afternoon tea. It was a girls weekend,myself,sister and my daughter. Nothing was too much trouble ,even when we had to reschedule the booking time due to an earlier flight home. Food was lovely,tea and coffee was abundant, staff so friendly and helpful. I can't praise it all enough. Now I can't wait until next year when I've said this has to become an annual event ☺️

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Novotel London Bridge. The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of many top London Attractions and only 15min from Kings Cross Station. On arrival, Tim greeted us and got us checked into our room hassle free. We were early arriving at the hotel but Tim dealt with us very professionally, he’s a really nice , helpful guy and was able to answer all our questions, nothing was a problem for him. The hotel and our room were spotlessly clean and we had a fabulous view of The Shard. I would also like to thank Rasa, the lovely women who greeted us every morning with a big friendly smile and took us to our table for breakfast, seeing her was always a good start to our day The breakfast was beautiful with plenty of choice for everyone. Without a doubt on our next trip to London we will definitely stay at The Novotel London Bridge again.

Beware - two hotels with the same name

Beware that there are two hotels with almost exactly the same name. This is the Novotel London Bridge. There's also a Novotel London Tower Bridge. Both are near London Bridge, but on opposite sides, some distance apart. This hotel was originally the Novotel London City South and recently changed its name. It's ridiculous that Accor allows two hotels to have the same name, but they'll charge you if you book one and turn up at the other. Beware!

While we understand how the similarity in hotel names, I would like to highlight that we are Novotel London Bridge, and the other hotel is Novotel Tower Bridge—two different properties with distinct names. Additionally, the two hotels are only about 20 minutes apart. Your booking was indeed made with us at Novotel London Bridge, but it seems you chose to stay at Novotel Tower Bridge instead. As your booking remained active with us, we applied the terms and conditions of your reservation. I would also like to explain that while both hotels are part of the same brand, we operate independently, which unfortunately means deposits cannot be transferred between properties. Went for dinner and drinks sat 2/11 for family birthday. Been a few times before and always had a good experience and last night was no exception. Friendly professional staff that were attentive. Excellent red wine that was paired with our perfectly cooked melt in the mouth steaks. The fish and chips and starters were good too. Decent portions and reasonable prices. Family friendly restaurant with a nice decor and good vibe. Often a live singer as was last night. Hotel in great location to explore. Thank you to Shirley, Antonio, Apurv, and Farrooh and rest of team for a wonderful evening. Definitely pop in if in the area.
