The stay was good in terms of conditions, welcome, staff (availability, reactivity, professionalism, etc.).... The room was comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was suitable, for all my activities. The only problem was the Wifi connexion quality as it was not that very good.

We travvel by car but in the Weekend parking spaces are almost non existent and you have to park your car on the street. Once you do get inside the underground car park spaces are very crammed and entering the garage is nerve wracking and yes, I dammaged my wheel hubs. Staff is not helpfull and not friendly. rooms where not cleaned due to so called COVID measures. Ate here once , the wine was oxidated. I will never go back here.

Hotel does not meet modern (4*) standards at all. Overall very outdated and badly maintained. Parking too small for the no. of guests and they refuse to take any reservations. Impossible to fit a bigger car. Staff not helpful or welcoming at all. Room was not cleaned, supposedly because of COVID. Very inconvenient. Did not bother at all about accor membership. Poor quality wifi. It seems like they do not even care about their guest experience since no one ever asked us about it, not even at check out. We will not be returning.

Travelling unexpectedly for a funeral is never pleasant but add the complication of Covid-19 just makes it all the more troublesome. The reservation ,direct with the hotel reception was very smooth and ALL our questions concerning the additional precautions for the pandemic were answered patiently and comprehensively. The meal options in the evening were obviously limited but given that restaurants are closed it was a relief to get anything at all. The food offered in the evening and breakfast was eaten in the room and the service at the restaurant was timely and very respectful in terms off punctuality and cleanliness. Many thanks to everyone at the hotel for their attention to detail and making this hurriedly organised trip effortless.
A poor example of Novotel

I start this report in not a good frame of mind! When We arrived at the reception they could not find my booking even though made through the website - and despite my showing my membership card! They eventually apologised as he could not find it when we arrived but did subsequently. The internet connection either did not connect or kept dropping out resulting in having to try and reconnect it! Which it did not! The pillows supplied on the bed were to say the least unacceptable small square hard blocks and not to the normal standard! The final straw was when we decided to eat in the restaurant having been given a plastic coated menu for the day - a Saturday evening! The first course choice was reasonable and we chose two starters which were acceptable. However having chosen the paella as the main course we were absolutely amazed to receive a glass bowl which had obviously been frozen, and then either reheated or microwaved! If one receives a formal menu one expects it to be food cooked by an in-house chef! This obviously was not the case as the attached photograph reflects of the pot and description on the lid! (Cannot attach!) If your hotels are not providing in-house chef prepared food - then we should be advised in advance of the food being made available - not prepared off-site and reheated in an oven microwave! A very disappointing result in what is supposed to be a quality hotel chain! The same approach was taken in the Mercure Rennes I reported on recently - which was the same aporoach for room service - as the restaurant was not open on a Sunday - not acceptable! All in all, if this is a standard brought about by Covid - then tell the members and they can make alternative arrangements using Trip advisor - who will get a copy of this review on the file! I am afraid support of Accor Group will wane if this is the standard now being set in your hotels! Not good enough 1 out of 10 scale!
