Stayed here three or four times now and each fairly underwhelming. Just not enough quality to justify the price. Most recent stay I was upgraded to premium room, but the air con control was broken and the nespresso machine in the room (supposedly making it ‘premium’) leaked water all over the desk. On previous stays the rooms have either had a dirty carpet, glue on the bed sheets (explained away as something the cleaners use…) or a dirty tissue under a chair. All isolated incidents yes, but if you stay there a few times you realise unfortunately it seems par for the course. Generally the communal areas of the hotel itself, corridors etc, are also in dire need of a facelift. I don’t want to be completely negative though - the breakfast is superb.

The hotel was great but a bit disappointed that we had to pay an extra £17 per car per night for our stay.
Great location, friendly staff

Just had a lovely stay at Mercure Holland House. The twin room had plenty of space for the family (mum, dad, and 2 kids aged 7&9). Good selection of channels on the TV. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely with plenty of options. The location of the hotel was also excellent: 10 mins walk to Millennium Square or the shopping district and would consider this hotel again for our next trip to Bristol.
A really great hotel better than expected

I don't normally write reviews but I was really impressed with this hotel. Our room was lovely and spacious and quiet and good value for money. The dressing gowns and robes were great and the whats app service asking for a larger dressing gown was very responsive and quick. Check in was so easy, free parking was a great deal and location of the hotel was excellent. I have only marked it down because breakfast wasn't great. There was freezing cold air con and the plates were cold. The restaurant/bar area could do with being a bit more 'cosy' but we absolutely loved our room and would stay again
