The Bencoolen is one of our favourite Ibis Hotels. The room size works OK for a couple - for a short stay, and the staff, breakfast and location are all great. Have stayed here many times over the years, and have never had a bad experience.

Incorrect billing. problem was eventually resolved but should not have happened in the first place

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. At Ibis, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. We would like to share that when the booking is processed online under flexible conditions, the credit card that is used for booking is considered to be for guarantee only and the guest will be requested to provide payment upon check in. I believe that caused the discrepancy with the billing instructions. But we are glad that we were able to rectify once we received the accurate information upon Ms C.'s check in. On checking the bookings, we realise that the membership is registered under your name, however the bookings are made for Ms Amanda C.. We would like to share that the member guest needs to occupy one of the rooms to be eligible for points and status nights credit. Below is the excerpt of the terms and conditions indicating the same. We noticed that your name was not registered in any of the 2 bookings. Therefore, it appears that the stay is not eligible for either points or status nights. I would also like to note that when the member books 2 rooms, points will be credited for both rooms but nights are only applicable to one room as per the below. Mr Jesmond, since the points and one night have already been credited for one room, we will refrain from cancelling the credit as a gesture of goodwill.
