The hotel seemed to be one of the better ones that Bristol has to offer. A likeable bar area where they served a decent pizza. Bedroom with the wood flooring felt quite chic. Only downside I did notice a couple of chaps in the bar area who frankly looked like vagrants. OK I appreciate a hotel business will have people staying who might not be everyones cup of tea especially in these covid times, but I did mark the establishment down on that score I'm afraid to say. Also felt the IBIS signage outside was too subtle. You need to have the name on the side of the building as well as the front. Will make it easier to find.

My room was large, clean & comfy, if quite spartan. Bathroom was very good. Breakfast was a little bit hit & miss on the essentials being cooked & ready- bacon, eggs ran out & took a while to be replenished

The floor was dirty in our room and the bed sheets, the doorman was really rude telling us to be quite at half 8 in the reception area as we were walking out

V friendly staff both in bar in evening and at breakfast next morning. Could open window: Great, thank you! Evening food. Good. Nice vegan option. Nice bar with good beer. Breakfast. Pretty good, but some more vegan options would have been welcome.

The staff were extremely helpful and lovely! I have only positive things to say about them. Not an easy job especially in these circumstances dealing with horrible people and trying to enforce Covid restrictions!! (Give them a pay rise) they helped us with everything we needed but unfortunately I did not know the names, all I know is there was 2 girls we spoke to and a guy. The room however was revolting! There was a huge bogey and snot smeared across the headboard which was solid so it had been there a while, we didn’t say anything as it’s not fair on the staff to have to deal with changing rooms etc but ew!! There was weird blood or red/brown dirt on the wall and fluff and dust/dirt in the bed and the floor felt gritty and dusty. The hand wash, shower gel, shampoo etc was empty and there was only a little bit in the shower room. There was a tv but no remote control. The curtains were almost mouldy and the rooms are very out dated. We had friends in other rooms and their beds also had dust/dirt in them, it wasn’t just us!

OK stay

Location was convenient and staff were very friendly and efficient. However, the bed had a stale smell of urine and led to an uncomfortable nights sleep. This was not noticed until later in the night, once we were asleep and the heat seemed to make it worse. I reported it to the staff the next morning (not in the middle of the night, as it was bearable but not pleasant) who were concerned and apologetic - I hope this has now been rectified for your next guests.

Overpriced Ryanair-esque hotel

Paid £310 for two rooms. One being a room with a sofa bed. £155 average per room for what is quintessentially hostel accommodation. Location was good (only due to being close to the venue we wanted to visit) which is the only positive I have for this review. Upon arrival, we were told that as the sofa bed room was going to occupy three people (the amount I entered online when booking), I’d have to pay an extra £20 for the third person. Something I find pretty hilarious given it accommodates three people. Reminded me of Ryanair as unless you’re travelling naked you’ll pay through the nose for extras. But the extras in the this being an actual person staying in a hotel room - amazing. ‘Sorry, you booked this room to actually use and stay in? That’ll be £100 extra’. Overall, left a pretty sour taste due to the already ridiculous price for an ibis. Certainly will be trying my best to plan better for next time so we’re not left in the hands of businesses like these.

great value budget hotel convenient for station

For a budget hotel coming out of lockdown we were very impressed at the cleanliness of the hotel and our room in particular. Very convenient for nearby Rail Station. All the staff were friendly and keen to assist as required. Had a lovely quiet room on the 5th floor and a great shower. A fast lift took us back to ground floor and booking in /out was no problem. Slight downside was lack of choice for cereals but that I think that was due to current delivery problems generally. Recommended!

Had a project to photograph just down the road, so the hotel was ideally situated. Considering we are in still having to live with Covid and it's restrictions, staying at the hotel was quite painless. Staff were brilliant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. When I'm back on site again later this year I'll definitely stay again. Thankyou!

Although Accor describes this hotel as Ibis Budget its features are equal to those of a more substantial hotel. The foyer area ; the bar ; the general standard of maintenance ; cleanliness ; and, friendly and helpful staff stand out. I'm not sure about the quality of the food, although the provision of food is helpful during the current lockdown. My room was quiet. I can't work the air conditioning unit. What do the buttons mean on the control panel? I asked for a heater, as the weather was cold. The bed is comfortable, and the good size of the room is great. Since people are welcoming and the hotel seems to be well run you get positive memories.
