I will be honest: I booked this hotel thinking it’s the ibis hotel, the one right next to the station which I have stayed in before. So I had a rude shock when I realised it wasn’t. The pros: I had a family issue that I need to head up to Sydney for, so luckily I had a room. Needed one just for the night. If you just need a place to sleep, this is ok. No bells and whistles. There’s vending machine downstairs and maccas not too far away, so you’re not hurting for drinks and food. Room was neat, bed was clean. That was all. The cons: Oh boy. So I checked in very late, and you would think for a few hours, I shouldn’t have any issues. Incorrect. Toilet was very small, so it was hard to manoeuvre, especially if you’re a bigger person. Front desk is often empty. From before I arrive, when I tried to call and no one picked up, to when I was there trying to check in, there’s often no one and there’s a wait. While I have no issues with that, there was a guy who desperately needed help but he was disabled and therefore out of range from the CCTV where I think they were trying to monitor the front desk. I had to help him wave at the cctv. It is a fair walk from the station, so if you have lots of luggage, I would advise that you conserve some energy for the walk or uber it. The shower was not well ventilated, so steam kept flowing out. I was surprised that it didn’t set off any alarms so… is the alarm working? And honestly, the way the room is set up, it’s not particularly great to have an open shower the way it’s set up. Room was relatively run down, where shower was leaking into the room floor. There were masking tapes in sections of the room. Pretty sure breakfast was 6.30am on the website when I looked, but was written 7am when I got there. I already paid for breakfast but could not stay as my trip back to Canberra is at 8. Such a waste of money. If I had to stay for more than one night, I had be changing back to my usual ibis.

If you have a choice between this place and a bus shelter, choose the bus shelter. The rooms are tiny, filthy and smell bad. You have to walk through the 'bathroom' to get to your bed. Everything is falling apart. The bedding stank of body odour and there was blood and urine on the toilet walls. And if you're thinking 'It's budget so low expectations' - our Airbnb cancelled and we had to book this at the last minute. We paid $888 for three nights because there was an event happening at Olympic Park and everything else was full. I wasn't even going to that event. I needed to be on-site at the park because I was carrying heavy stock to a different event. So we paid five-star prices for a room dirtier than a bus shelter.

Très peu de nettoyage dans les chambres. Passage très rapide... Aspirateur jamais passé en 2 semaines et jamais changé les draps. Déjeuner avec peu de diversité. Personnel très chaleureux et accueillant. Situé proche des commodités et transports publics

Situé dans le Parc Olympique. Convenable si vous n'avez pas ou peu besoin d'y séjourner, mais de seulement y déposer vos bagages. Le moins : Confort + que minimaliste. Payer pour le wifi totalement inexistant Le plus : Accueil agréable

L'Ibis de Olympic park est moderne, bien équipé et entretenu, avec un rapport qualité/prix imbattable à seulement 15 km du centre de Sydney. Par contre, rien à faire autour de l’hôtel sauf si vous réussissez à combiner votre séjour avec un billet pour un match de rugby. La majorité des visiteurs, comme nous, ont leur propre voiture ou se déplacent par groupe en autocar.
