Moramare Families - TripAdvisor review

Let me first state that my 3 star review is not a review of the staff of this hotel, they are great! From Sudan who thoroughly cleaned our room everything to the staff looking after the breakfast buffet, from the bellboys to the reception staff. Novotel Al Barsha is absolutely perfectly located a few hundred meters from the Mashreq metro station, only 1 stop away from the Mall of the Emirates. The front of the hotel faces Sheikh Zayd Road and unfortunately the windows of the rooms located here don’t block all the noise. The pool (rather small) is in the front too, making it not the relaxing place you may think. Plus; only shadow here…. The rooms in the back are far better noise wise though missing a view of the ocean. It seems like it has been a while since this hotel had a good renovation planned. Our one bedroom suite had a smell, old furniture, a not heating hot water tap in the kitchen, several cracks in the bathroom and so on. It was lacking basic kitchen appliances thus preparing some meals in the room (which we were planning on) was basically not possible. Room service after 11PM takes forever, as does housekeeping. The sofabed in the living room is not designed to host an adult. Luckily enough we could get a rolllaway bed instead. I've seen it mentioned before; we had a fully paid for reservation and were charged (as it felt again) the full amount at checkin. When contacting the cc company I found out that indeed the amount had not been credited yet. The frontoffice staff told me many people complained about this. Accor; have your app fixed in order to show the correct information!

Selected as recommended for a single female traveller breaking up my journey. This hotel does not resemble the photos whatsoever. The room is dull and in need of some needed upgrading. The shower floods the bathroom and the bath is unable to be used as a shower as the tap is broken. (Update on requested repairs to follow) The pool area is sad to say the least - no sun, no people come to think of it. Concierge tried to rip me off insisting I use a non contract taxi for my trip to beach club. Next time pay a bit more and stay at the beach!!

The food a. beverage department was excellent 10/10. The tours with Hardik a. Saga Travels 10/10. The rooms were dated a. the management was dismissive, evasive a. not customer centric at all. Had a distrastrous transport transfer incident. No reaction at all. We had to push for a refund. The management had clearly never run a hotel before. The location was excellent though.

Location near Metro, good to go around. Facility, breakfast and spa here is good. Staffs are friendly, room always get clean and change new towel. Swimming pool is good to enjoy. If we come back again we still back to stay. This good to go alone or couple. Wondeful time here. But it will be bestvif they change more options for breakfast
