The hotel is very well placed for shopping and close to pubs and restaurants, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The bar is good to kill a couple of hours in and the drink selection is good, will be staying there again. The rooms are a nice size and are clean and tidy, there is no car park at the hotel but there is a large car park next door.

Well located, but tired bedrooms, damaged lifts, slow check in, some inattentive staff at the bar (though others were good), fairly below par breakfast for a Novotel.

All the staff I met were great especially the housekeeping. The hotel was very clean.the only downside was the breakfast. Some off the hot buffet was not very hot and some of this could of been cooked bit more. Like the scramble eggs and tomato.

Ineffective air conditioning!

Hotel was clean, staff were helpful, and it's in a great location for all the city centre & riverside attractions, but our room on the 10th floor was so hot and stuffy that we couldn't sleep, even with the window open (it only opens a small distance due to safety). The 'air conditioning' is so feeble it made no difference even when set to 10 degrees. Wouldn't stay here again unless it was the middle of winter, as it was far too hot to sleep. Breakfast was good but expensive (£13 for continental breakfast, £18 for cooked buffet) Swimming pool was nice but very small, so unless you're lucky enough to find a time when it's empty you won't be able to swim as it's too crowded.

Room was very basic for the price, it was a bank holiday so expected to be paying a little more. Breakfast was awful and again poor. Reception staff were not friendly .
