Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Good sized twin beds, cosy bedding & pillows. Bathroom large & plenty of hot water. Quiet area. Easy walk into City & train station. Easy access to bus. Very satisfied with our stay & would recommend.

We stayed at the recently refurbished Ibis Styles York on Friday and had a wonderful experience. The hotel looks fresh, modern, and very well presented following the refurbishment — a great job has clearly been done throughout. The team were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we arrived, which really made our stay enjoyable. The hospitality was splendid, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and looked after. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, the room was clean and comfortable, and everything felt well thought out. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we would happily return and recommend this hotel to others visiting York.

Very nice hotel - clean and modern! Definitely would stay again! Our room however was like a maze to find, round lots of corners and up and down stairs - struggled with a large heavy suitcase. The room itself was immaculate just on the small side however had everything we needed and was very very clean so couldn’t fault anything! Staff very nice and attentive - lovely hotel bar too.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent service – thank you Leanne! My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the ibis Styles York and had a great experience from the moment we arrived. We had a 3pm check-in booked, but after travelling on a very early 6am flight from Dublin, we arrived much earlier than expected. The receptionist, Leanne, went above and beyond by kindly allowing us to check in early. It made a huge difference after such an early start and really set the tone for our stay. She was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful — exactly the sort of service that makes you feel valued as a guest. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well located, but Leanne’s customer service really stood out and deserves special recognition. Thank you again — we really appreciated it and would happily stay here again.

Needed somewhere to lay the head while visiting York. Ibis Styles York Centre was convenient, comfortable and largely clean. The staff were friendly - Esme particularly did an excellent job, not just with us, but with other customers too; we always felt welcomed and comfortable. The hotel has recently been refitted and has a fresh, clean look. The lifts are a bit clunky and sound a bit unnerving. The air conditioning in the room was noisy and the controls were locked to prevent turning the Louvre movement off which woke me a couple of times a night and the TV needed some persuading to work, but quickly sorted. There was a smell of sewerage in the bathroom and even after a couple of visits by housekeeping, they were out of ideas and there were no rooms to move us to. We were assured that the river flooding had caused issues and the smell was downstairs in the lobby too. Location wise, it was ideal. Never more than 15 - 20 minutes walk from most of the major attractions, easy to navigate from and a Sainsbury's over the road if you need any supplies. The price was considerably cheaper than the other chain hotels nearby and certainly offset the minor inconveniences.
