The only good thing about this hotel is its location. There is a small nondescriptive entrance at elizabeth street which leads to a long corridor to a lift that will bring you to the reception on the 1st floor. I felt very claustrophobic getting to my room on the 5 lth floor with small and tight corridor. The room has a small tinted window and a small aircon. The room is small with 2 small twin beds and is very basic and sparsely furnished. The toilet and walk in shower is tiny.. the bed and pillow offers no support and is small and placement of the reading light on the bed headboard is bad because everything is try to watch tv sitting on the bed, it will dig into the back of my neck. Be prepared for very basic room if you chose to stay in this property.

Terrible stay and experience. Worst IBIS attitude. Realised later that they are planning to sell the property hence not interested in investing either in service or quality. They don’t even provide glasses to drink water. One has to come at 1st floor (Reception) & request for. Wi-Fi of my mobile couldn’t work for 4 days, we stayed. No kitchen. No Internet connection with TV. Overall bad experience & they were not willing to return the money so had to stay for 3 nights, which were paid for. Overall a bad experience. Front office staff except Vicky/Lakshya not polite.

Great price, clean, excellent condition!

Great value for what you pay. The room is clean, carpet in good condition. The air conditioner albeit a bit old did cool the room down for sleeping. Cool big screen TV on the wall. Good bar fridge to cool your beverages. Tea/coffee and sugar and kettle are provided in your room. WiFi can be a bit tricky if your phone isn't configured properly - Phone MEC, not randomised MEC. Shower was great. Good temperature and good pressure. The bed was very comfortable and I had no trouble sleeping. No noise from other rooms or outside. Doors can be a bit loud if you don't shut them gently. No view, but I wasn't staying for the view or more than one night. My one criticism is that there was no room on either side of your body in the toilet and my leg was hard up against the toilet roll when on the toilet. But if you want a reasonable priced room that is clean and in good condition, you can't go past ibis Melbourne CBD.

In reply to your reply of my comment regarding complimentary bottles of water B$&@):t you sell them for a profit in vending machine if you were concerned about plastic you would then supply a water fountain of cold filtered water it has nothing to do with plastic but profit !

It is a budget hotel but it has all the essentials. It is clean, has a comfortable and clean bed, the breakfast is cheap but filling and it is quiet despite being on a major Melbourne Streets with cars and trams. The room is small and the toilet is tiny but as said before it is clean and comfortable. The TV is huge compared to the room. The breakfast is toast, tea and coffee, cereal and pancakes for $12. The service was friendly and efficient. An all round good experience.
