Location is great but underwhelming experience

Great location and friendly staff. However, it is dated and tired. Toilet amenities in the lobby area were dirty. While the room was clean, rubbish bins were not emptied daily unless I placed them directly beside the towels to be changed. Only tea/coffee in rooms - no wine/soft drinks or snacks provided Glasses and cups were washed in the bathroom sink. The general standard of cleanliness was less than desirable.

The condition of our amenities is something we continually monitor and maintain, and we apologize if the cleanliness of the lobby toilets fell short during your stay. Regarding the rubbish bins in your room, please accept our apologies for any oversight in our housekeeping service. While we offer a mini fridge, all items can be easily ordered through our In Room Dining Service. In our ongoing efforts to provide excellent service, we have noted your comments on the cleanliness and will reinforce our high standards with our housekeeping team. Finally, for hygiene purposes, our housekeeping team is trained to clean glassware with utmost care, and we are sorry if this did not meet your expectations. Great location. Lots of cafes restaurants nearby within walking distance. Stayed 2 nights. Didnt eat breakfast there so cant comment. Didnt use the parking facility either. Big clean rooms. Beds and pillows only ok but is dependant on your comfort level. Bar area good and good vibe. Wifi was very slow and patchy. Being gold accor members we received two free drinks a bottle of wine and gourmet rocky road. Nice touches. A little worn and tired a lot of bare walls in the halls etc. overall a nice stay though.

I stay at this hotel every year for a shopping, theatre and dining trip with friends. It’s the perfect walking location for all 3 with comfortable rooms and friendly staff.

The staff were amazing, but the experience was let down by the hotel facilities. 10/10 for location, but.... One out of the three lifts was working during the very busy check in period, which meant a wait of 15/20 mins just to get to our room. The air-conditioning in the room didn't work in that we couldn't reduce the setting from a balmy 24.5°C. We cooked throughout our one night stay. The room was clean and spacious but a little dated. We probably won't be back - so many nice hotels to choose from in the CBD.
