Unprofessional, dirty and ugly

I stayed here on the 17th and was appalled. The standards were shockingly low, even for a budget hotel. The staff were unprofessional, lacking proper uniforms. The person who checked me in wore a dirty t-shirt, and his trousers were falling down, exposing his underwear. It's disgraceful for a hotel, budget or not, to present itself in such a manner. This experience was frustrating and downright ugly.

Rooms are clean and functional, although rather dated & slightly tired-looking. The shelf below the sink was falling down. Only one pillow each was provided. Staff were friendly and very helpful, location ideal & free to park for duration of stay.

Little bit disappointed

This is my second stay at Ibis Budget in Southampton and I am a little bit disappointed. Positive - easy reachable, good price, easy check in and out, good choice of breakfast and friendly staff. Beds are comfortable. Negative Rooms need some refurbishment - Air circulation was not working properly and at least there was a desk fan that worked fine for some air circulation (luckily it wasn't hot). Paint is chipping from the ladder for the bunk bed which is an eyesore and hazardous especially for young children. Cleanliness - mugs in bfast room were stained as if nit washed properly and room could have been cleaner.

We sincerely apologise for not meeting your expectations and have taken note of all areas of improvement. We thank you for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you again.
