Our room was lovely and clean and well presented. However it was very cold and asked at reception for a heater which we gladly used. Friendly staff on reception, polite and helpful. Breakfast was a disaster I wish we had gone elsewhere and not paid the extra. I don't think I have ever been to a continental breakfast that was so basic! The coffee machine was out of order? No white sugar, only 2 slices of bread left in the basket for toast. A choice of 3 cereals Coco pops, rice crispies or Alpen. Huge bowl of plain Yoghurt but nothing to have with it eg banana or fresh fruit. No I wouldn't have breakfast there again. Very disappointed

Excellent service, staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Hotel location is perfect for the Mayflower theatre, restaurants and shopping. Rooms basic but very comfortable, showers are excellent, beds allow for a great sleep and rooms are very peaceful. Prices are excellent, would have no hesitation booking again. Great value, well done to all at the hotel.

Friendly staff, thin duvet, toilet felt like a cupboard and it was very noisy! Bed was ok for comfort, smelt a bit mouldy, husband said this was because trap in shower was empty.

Rooms clean and tudy staff helpful. Was disapiinted with the breakfast. Coffee machine only gave half cups. Cuttlery was dirty, and no tea spoons.

We had a lovely stay for my wife's birthday. Close to the station. Close to town. My daughter loved the bunk bed. The room was clean and we loved the way it was styled. I had a great night's sleep (which is rare in any hotel). The staff were also really helpful.

Great welcome, spotless room with lovely fresh smelling bedding and fluffy towels. Great value buffet breakfast and perfect location for the start of our cruise holiday. Used cruise parking option which was fabulous value. Will definitely use again.

Adequate for a short stay

The room was what we needed for 2 adults and a child. It was a bit noisy later at night but we think the hotel was occupied by a lot of people who “like to party” Location nice for seeing the Queen Mary 2 in the dock. Also convenient to walk to town. We didn’t bother with the breakfast option because plenty of places nearby to get something to eat.

Not cheap to stay this time, not enough shelving space, no pizzas or hot food this tine also a bit noises when people come in late at night.

Barely got 2 hours sleep

Window opens onto McDonald's drive through window, so no privacy when it is open. Needed to have the window open as the room was stifling. Mattress was rock solid. Told staff about broken cup on floor by main door, they only picked up the main piece. Was due to stay on the 11th but really didnt want to end my honeymoon on a bad note. Tried calling to cancel from the 5th onwards when the boat was in port but every call was dropped. Asked family member to keep trying in uk but they had the same issue. Finally had to download an app to cancel it when we arrived back in Southampton. Lost our money due to the calls not being answered. Not happy and would never recommend or stay again.

WORST STAY EVER - BECAUSE OF THE DISHONEST, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, LACK OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE OF RECEPTIONIST (GUY WITH GLASSES) * We as a family of five have been staying at All Accor Hotels in years and as both my wife and I are working for the NHS, we regularly have discounts and satisfied using your hotels. But this time, we had the worst stay ever at IBIS Budget Hotel Southampton. We have booked two ACCESSIBLE rooms - Room 12 (1 double bed with bunk bed for our young child) and twin bed Room 105 for our teens. From the time of checking in on the evening of the 28th of August coming from our trip to Durdle Door, I have noticed immediately that the MAIN LIGHT in Room 12 was not working so I have reported right away to the receptionist (to the young man with eye glasses) AS THE ROOM WAS DARK AND WE HAVE KIDS TOO. He went to our room and has tried all the switches and has TOLD ME - THAT THE LIGHT IS ONLY BEING USED FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES - It will ONLY light WHEN THE EMERGENCY CORD HAS BEEN PULLED and IT IS NOT FAULTY AT ALL. When I have checked the other room, I have found out that the main wall light was working fine. So I have came down to reception again to report it. THEN HE TOLD ME THAT HE WILL IMMEDIATELY REPORT TO MAINTENANCE AND PROMISED THAT IT WILL BE FIXED THE FOLLOWING MORNING. The 2nd day evening upon returning from our Bournemouth trip, light has still not been fixed, reported to the SAME RECEPTIONIST, and has promised it will be sorted out the issue on the following day. The THIRD AND last night of our stay - still THE SAME ISSUE. I have asked him why the light is still not working and he knows the room is very dark and we have kids? I GOT VERY ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED THAT NIGHT THAT I HAVE CONFRONTED HIM that night and at the same very moment, A MUM with two young kids which I have learnt they came from a three-hour drive, have been told by THE SAME RECEPTIONIST - THAT THEY COULD NOT BE GIVEN A ROOM due to booking issues ( Booking .com) * That same 3rd night, whilst the mum of 2 kids and the receptionist were arguing, I was on the queue to re-cut our door key cards - knowing my issue I have patiently waited 15 minutes until I barge in apologising to the mum and the receptionist if my door key cards could be cut as my whole family HAVE BEEN WAITED TO GET INSIDE THE ROOM. And surprisingly the receptionist SCOLDED ME- " NEXT TIME YOU SHOULD WAIT FOR YOUR TURN ". it ruined my whole TRIP.. A worst experience with your group of hot
