Much better than we had expected. As we had before spent a couple of not enjoyable nights at the neighbouring sister property (SOFITEL at Renmin Square), we had been mentally prepared for the worst.But on entering the hotel and checked in we already noticed very big difference in the service level. More staffs understand English, all were more attentive, helpfull and respectfull. We got upgraded to a very nice large suite room. The interior is very beautifully appointed and very well maintained. Very clean and comfortable. Inside the city wall of Xi'an maybe the SOFITEL Legend People's Grand is one of the very best.

We love the hotel! My daughter and I stayed in room 1407 (on the 4th floor) on April 17-20, 2024. We booked it through AmEx Travel, which classified the room type as a Grand Room with 1 King Bed and Garden View (Premium). It has a separate sitting room, a fridge stocked with complimentary beverages and chocolate bars, an in-room safe, a powder room, and a large marble bath with a tub, a spacious shower, double sinks, and a WC with a bidet. The fruit basket was changed daily and there was nightly turndown service. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The landscaping was lush, the architecture was majestic, and the decor throughout the hotel was elegant. The services were impeccable, from the concierge to housekeeping to the restaurant staff who served our breakfast every morning. Our arrival was greeted by 3 friendly concierge staff who guided us to check-in. A welcome drink was offered and the check-in process was efficient. Special shoutout to Bruce and Frank at the concierge desk. I called the hotel a month before our arrival to inquire about booking a private car for airport pickup/dropoff and making arrangement for a private guided tour on one of the 3 days we would be there. Bruce started helping me plan our itinerary and make all the arrangements remotely through WeChat, including pre-purchasing the admission tickets for the Terracotta Warriors. He followed up frequently and sent me reminders of the airport pickup prior to our travel. Bruce was not on duty when we arrived, but Frank knew exactly what the arrangements were, helped us make adjustments to our itinerary, and made sure everything went well for our private tour the next day. Frank also gave us useful tips on sights and restaurants for our free days. In addition to them, the other concierge staff always greeted us with a smile and proactively offered their services. They were extremely well trained and professional. The hotel is centrally located within the old city itself. We were about 20 minutes walking distance away from the City Wall in one direction and the Bell Tower/Muslim Quarters in the other. The daily breakfast offering is wonderful. The buffet offered freshly baked pastries, fresh fruits, cheeses, fresh juices, etc., There is a noodle/ congee bar. You can also order a la carte items from the menu, including western and local favorites. I especially appreciate the long breakfast hours from 6:30-10:30 on weekdays and 6:30-11 on weekends. We really enjoyed our stay and have already recommended the hotel to our friends. We will definitely stay with them again if and when we come back to Xian.

Historic hotel with really wonderful butlers & staff

A beautiful historic hotel with interesting architecture. Peter, the manager at the in house Italian restaurant was attentive and helpful at breakfast and with our wine selections. The service was top notch, and most of the butlers are fluent in English. The butlers are always on call to attend to our every request. We also really enjoyed the daily happy hour - a good way to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Our son suffered from a bout of food poisoning from the HSR meal and threw up all over the couch in the suite's living room. The butlers and housekeeping swooped in to replace the soiled cushions and towels. Our butler even rushed out to purchase isotonic drinks to help our son replenish his electrolytes. All the staff members we encountered never failed to enquire after our son for the rest of our stay. We are so very grateful for their help during his illness!

Very nice hotel in a bustling city with super friendly staff and nice and modern rooms. It's located quite centrally - only a few steps and your are right in the middle of this lively city. And, most importantly, it's the perfect starting point to explore the Terracotta Army.

Estivemos em outubro/14 nesse Hotel que estava em Soft Opening. Ficamos no 6o. andar e os quartos são excelentes. Muito bem decorados, confortáveis e funcionais. A mesa de trabalho simplesmente tem tudo o que for preciso para trabalhar e até mesmo conexões de multimídia para o seu notebook com as 2 televisões disponíveis, uma da ante-sala e outra no quarto. em Além disso, o banheiro, maravilhoso, tem também um TV no espelho com controle remoto e tudo. O cafe da manha excelente, o atendimento de todos os funcionários é impecável. Recomendo e muito a trabalho ou a lazer.
