This hotel took budget to a whole new level! The bed was SO hard I actually felt like I was sleeping on the floor and I’ve come away with back ache. The toilet was coming away from the wall and as long as you don’t mind the shower being in the bedroom you’re ok. All facilities are located in the main entrance and they do supply breakfast (we didn’t have this though) Most staff were friendly and very helpful The key cards are very temperamental and we must have had them changed at least twice a day. On the plus the car park is secure on only costs £8 a day

Very affordable budget hotel with super helpful and friendly staff. Helpfully able to give me a top floor room at the rear. Quirky toilet, shower, basin layout. Extra towels and pillows were no problem. Easy walking distance (20 mins) from New Street Station. £8 to park in their car park or local street for free (except 11am to Midday).

Over the past year, I have stayed at this Ibis Budget about once or twice a month, mainly due to the price. I have noticed some improvements in this budget hotel, however, it still requires some major work to bring it up to an acceptable standard for most guests. The customer service and hospitality has improved immeasurably, with the team seemingly happier in their work which translates to a better experience for the guest. The rooms are still very basic and lacking in comfort, the television are so old they are difficult to operate and watch, the Wi-Fi is always slow and the plastic stool awful to sit on, mattresses are much better as is the air con, however the rooms are far from comfortable compared to other Ibis Budgets that I have stayed in. The continental breakfast is a huge disappointment and expensive for what is offered, cheap budget ingredients and a lack of them. Watered down orange juice, non-branded cereals, vast open vats of thin yoghurt, slices of tasteless cheese but no other deli produce such as ham, queues to use one small domestic toaster to toast dreadful bread, undercooked doughy miniature croissants, greasy muffins, small pain au choc, all served in a space that was cold, uncomfortable and in an environment worse than my old school canteen. Budget the hotel is, value for money it can be, improved over the last year, yes, in places, room for more improvement, absolutely.

I just want to give all the staff here the biggest thank you. Our daughter left her very special teddy in the bed the morning we were due to fly. It’s taken a week to track the teddy down but the staff have found it and sent it straight to us. I carnt honesty thank you all enough. This is so very special to us.

It's a budget hotel and you get what you pay for but our rooms, WC and shower were spotlessly clean, if a bit compact. We were going to the O2 so it was ideal for us. The stars of the show are the staff - friendly, pleasant, efficient and when we had an issue, they really went out of their way to help us - on a really busy day. If all you need is a bed and a shower for a couple of days, this hotel is a good, basic budget choice.
