As a guest, I understand that internal issues may not be my concern, but I felt the need to comment on something I witnessed during breakfast on January 3rd. A man, accompanied by his family and appearing to be of Muslim background, spoke to a male staff member (wearing a tie and with a white beard) in a very inappropriate manner. Despite this, both he and the female staff member present remained attentive, respectful, and professional throughout the entire breakfast service. I believe they deserve recognition for handling the situation with calm and dignity.

THE WORST AFTERNOON TEA EVER!

I'm not someone who regularly writes reviews unless something was absolutely terrible or extremely good. I booked afternoon tea for 5. For some it was their first time going to afternoon tea and I wish u didn't take them to the Novotel for their first experience. We booked for boxing day at 4 so I might be that they had no chief because the sandwich selection arrived dry, literary dry as though it was left overs from pervious guests. The taste was off and sickening. No one could eat it. I felt so embarrassed, I was really.hyping up the experience of afternoon tea. As for the scones! I wish I took pictures if how disturbing they were. They were hard because I believe they just hosted them up in the microwave and as I cut open into it had brown burnt bits, I believe it was the butter when it was heated up in the microwave because that only happens to shop brought scones. Definitely cheap shop brought. All the sweet opens that were served to us were left as they came as nothing was nice all shop brought, had already dried out and the taste was as if they had been left out over night in the bar! The only thing we did was drink the hot drinks. We had Tetley tea bags in hot water, honestly tasteless but that is the best you'll get. I've honestly never had a bad experience in food gerally like this one. They definitely had no staff we could tell because everything was late coming to us even the drinks. I can't even say we got what we paid for unfortunately. This is an honest review and I really don't mean to sound bad but it was absolutely disgusting and I'm really not a fussy eater. I brought the voucher off Groupon and the pictures advertised are completely different just letting you know. The one thing that was ok was the guy serving us, I believe he was European, he was polite and he too could see that we did not enjoy anything and we could only see 2 staff members all in all. Sorry it's such a long review. The worst afternoon tea ever!
