A short stay in the Nimes area

My wife and I were recently attending a family wedding just outside of Nimes, and the hotel was perfectly located for our needs. It was clean, comfortable, and was ideally suited for our purposes as we spent very little time at the hotel. This was a pity as we were never able to avail ourselves of the swimming pool which beckoned each day in the 35+ degree heat! The breakfast was plentiful, and the staff helpful and welcoming. This was a good advert for the Ibis Budget chain.

Unusual charges for on-line check-in

Due to my late arrival, I used the on-line check in for my pre-paid stay at ibis budget Nîmes Est Marguerittes. The Accorhotels site requires deposit (or payment?) by credit card of Euro 20 to allow the on-line check-in, which would have been acceptable if they refunded the amount in few days after the check-out, however no refund after one week.

in comparison to many other Ibis Budget hotels, this was one of the worst. The hotel is very old and not well kept. the rooms was extremely small. Although advertised, this was not a room for 3 adults!

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and provide a little bar as well as small meals. This is a bonus as there are no facilities around the hotel. The hotel is a distance from Nimes and there did not appear to be any public transport, so a vehicle is essential.

The reception man was a little rude I think perhaps if you had a notice saying you wanted everything cleared onto a tray then we may have known rather the reception man telling us off quite abruptly

Avoid this hotel!

The receptionist (a man) was very rude. The door of our room was broken, he did not come to help at any time. The pool was closed with no reason. The receptionist treated us all the time with a complete lack of education. We have complained to the direction and we have not received any answer. We have stayed in a lot of ibis budget hotels (cheaper and better located than this) and we have never had any complain. Definitely this hotel is not worth its price.

Nice hotel

Near autoroute A 9, with a nice pool,beds ands little foodtruck. Check-in was easy and fast. We had a 5 person room, with a nice bathroom.Breakfast good and divers. Parkinglot was secure. Overall good experience.

I had a lovely stay in the Nimes Marguerittes Ibis Budget. Just a few things: -The room distinctly smelt of cigarettes, i think someone may have smoked out of the window -The vending machines only took change - it's very easy to get a card payment vending machine in my opinion - most UK citizens DO NOT carry cash on them any more. Other than that, i had a great rest for the 12 hours i was at the hotel.

Clean room, charming welcome, perfect for our need. Our only complain was the heat of the room which made it impossible to sleep. We did have the air conditioning on, but it didn't seem to counteract the heat.
