The Sofitel Sydney Wentworth offers a refined and elegant stay in the heart of the city, blending classic luxury with French-inspired hospitality. The suites are impressively spacious—ideal for travelers who appreciate room to relax or work. The separate living area, large windows, and plush furnishings create a comfortable and upscale atmosphere, making it feel more like a high-end apartment than a hotel room. Guests with Club Lounge access will appreciate the added level of comfort and exclusivity. The lounge offers a quiet space to unwind with light refreshments, evening canapés, and a solid breakfast spread. The staff in the Club Lounge are attentive and professional, often going out of their way to provide personalized service. However, the hotel does have its downsides. It’s an extremely busy property, often hosting conferences and events, which can make public areas feel crowded. One of the most noticeable drawbacks is the wait time for the lifts. At peak times, especially in the mornings or early evenings, the elevators are slow and often full—something to keep in mind if you’re on a tight schedule. The hotel is renowned for including tips in its bills. Tips are not part of Australian culture for the high pay rates staff earn. Despite the hustle and bustle, the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth remains a polished and conveniently located choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Ich war erst ein wenig skeptisch da das Hotel verglichen mit den Alternativen eine etwas schlechte Bewertung hatte. Ich persönlich habe allerdings gar nicht daran auszusetzen und habe die Tage hier genossen. Jederzeit wieder. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und das Personal ist an freundlichkeit kaum zu überbieten.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with 2 friends. We felt welcomed from the time we arrived until we left with Jina being with us both times. Fabulous location, spotless rooms, and the friendly staff at Bar Tilda serving great food and drinks. My previous stays were before the refurb and now it’s even better.

The hotel has instituted a large bank of self check in terminals that cause large bottle necks of guests who require assistance with points, loyalty program upgrades and confirmation of options from guest service staff. It felt clumsy from a premium property. Otherwise the experience was excellent, bar and restaurant was great, but coming in and out of the property was painful and coloured the experience
