We had a great stay at Novotel Excel during a family trip. One evening we spent in the hotel having dinner at the Upper Deck restaurant. We shared our food and ordered couple of dishes. Klea and other employees were really guest-friendly. We had a good time at the restaurant.

Came over from Ibis. Bigger pub. More experienced staff. Very friendly, joking and helpful. Advised on cocktails which was helpful. Enjoyed the atmosphere on New Years Eve. The guests seem to be relaxed and enjoying the evening. The evening was a total success and would be back.

Service in the restaurant was amazing provided by the staff especially Anusree she was very professional and friendly. the food food was delicious😋 Room was fantastic my kid loved the hotel and service. We will definitely come back and recommend anyone who wants to explore Canary Wharf and cable car. Perfect location!

Secure carparking, reasonable room rates, convenient for the Excel. We found the room very slightly tired but absolutely fine for the price. Bed was v comfortable. Easy check in. Didn't have breakfast as it's v expensive. Will stay again.

Poor for money.

Unfortunately not great for the money paid £515 for two nights (family room). Upon returning from event at excel we had no power which appreciated is nobody’s fault however it took over an hour for it to be fixed. Phone calls to Reception went unanswered meaning had to take child back down to reception to report. Eventually got to bed at midnight. No offer of alternative room only “just wait in the bar” which with a tired child at nearly midnight nobody wants! Housekeeping poor - tired, old bobbled bed linen and tea/coffee not replenished & cups not replaced leaving our used cups in situ. Disgusting white splashes on bathroom wall opposite toilet (ewwwww) not cleaned leaving me feeling quite sick. Surprised breakfast bit included for £500+ bit I guess kids go free so can’t complain. Service in bar/restaurant poor: sullen waiting staff although food was ok but bar ran out if orange juice at 7pm!
