The hotel is very convenient if visiting excel and it uses that to hike up prices during events to central London prices.. that would be fine if you received the kind of service/accommodation expected from a hotel of that standard. We checked in online hoping to avoid standing in line on arrival - complete waste of time as it didn’t make any difference! We ended up waiting in line and eventually got our twin room…on opening the door to the room we were confronted by the foul smell of the bathroom drain. Bizarrely there was a separate wc but no basin as that was in the main bath/shower room. Mould in the shower, broken lever for the sink plug, awful pillows and sagging mattresses! Needless to say, we were not impressed. The breakfast area was lovely and spacious, lots of choice and excellent service. Overall - very poor in terms of the actual room and facilities.
