Room was clean, but very tired. Plugs were in completely the wrong place, nowhere near beds, so could not charge phones overnight. No air conditioning meant that the room was incredibly hot, and we therefore did not get much sleep.

Never a good time for a traveller. Exhausted, smelly and ready for duvet and TV I finally found the IBIS (it’s not you, it’s me), directions are not my forte. Welcomed by lovely, thoughtful people, that made the comfy duvet and extra pillows even more special. Although the surroundings need a little love, I enjoyed both the cleanliness and simplicity of my stay. Will definitely stay again, may even find you first time next time round. 😀

We were visiting relatives in nearby Hanover Square so just needed a bed for a few nights. We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and I could check in online which was great as we were very delayed in our journey. Room was very basic and clean in general so expected for the price. Clean towels and toiletries - what we expected so that was all good, bed was ok and there were extra pillows which were welcome. Air cooling/heating didn't work sadly and as it's freshers week, we had a few early hours wake ups as we slept with the window open. Bathroom was ok, small but functional however the sink smelt appalling - and we put the plug in to stop the smell as every time you ran the tap or the shower, a very strong odour came up the pipes. However once the plug was in we had to use finger nails to prise it open as there was no way of releasing the plug. Tea/coffee we expected but the paper cups left for water were filthy, clearly been used already and hadn't been checked. I wasn't expecting more than basic but this was a pretty grim thing - if this hadn't been checked - what else? We told housekeeping when we left about the sink. Overall the hotel was welcoming and helpful, sending an email about parking before we arrived which we really appreciated so hopefully sharing this will ensure what is a perfectly standard budget hotel to just check the little things.

I feel the room was very basic, very small tv, breakfast was cold, hard eggs

Enjoyed my stay, staff let me check in early which was very nice of them. However hotel is not in Leeds City centre and is a good walk from the centre.
