Good location with a variety of food and beverage / entertainment options in the vicinity. However, the was rather spartan. For the price, I am surprised there is so minimal bathroom amenities. It looks like an old hotel that was quickly refurbished.

Excellent Stay - Kudos to the Front Office & Concierge Team!

This stay was so much more positive than the previous one we had back in September, specifically the room that we were allocated to this time and the organising of additional non-slip mats for our room, due to my wife being heavily pregnant and having a young toddler having to use the bathtub. Key compliments to the following people for our stay: - Aaron for providing quick advice on luggage storage for 4 days pre-arrival. - Cherson for his prompt actions on assisting with getting our luggage stored (it was really nice to see his growth from our last stay in September - Well done!) - Concierge team for prompt actions and assisting with luggages. Shoutout to the staff member wearing 'I'm learning badge' in the concierge / portering team who had a very positive attitude towards work and when learning about what to do for scenarios like ours where we need to get our luggage stored a few days prior to arrival. - John for making special note about having ensuring we have additional non-slip mats in our bathroom. - Lady who checked us in (her name starting with L) - She was extremely pleasant and had a great outgoing personality (Best wishes to her and her journey into motherhood!) - Amy (based on the name on the card in the room) who got our room ready. It was extremely clean on a contrary to my previous experience. -Housekeeper who was on the 13th Floor on 28th Dec who promptly helped with our towel requests. One thing that caught my attention was the attention to detail everyone in front office and concierge has when someone walks in. I was always surprised that despite the many guests always at the lobby, we will also be noticed by staff members when we walk in and get greeted promptly and in a very warm manner. This was a complete opposite to the Pullman at Orchard where we stayed at for 5 nights leading up to Christmas, which was very disappointing. The front office & concierge team members felt like they want to be there and had a great positive attitude towards completing their tasks and attending to their guests. Overall, the stay had been amazing. I look forward to our next one. Best wishes to everyone at the Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy to an amazing 2025.

Rooms should do away with bath tub as its accident prone to get in and out of tub for a shower. Toilet should have a bidet pipe for washing. Not using tissue paper as its not our culture.

This was my 3rd stay in Grand Mercure Roxy and seeing the hotel upgrading itself overtime has been a nice experience. The lobby and the rooms (that I'd stayed in) has been refreshed, though some of the facilities still look dated, especially the executive lounge do need some sprucing up. But Grand Mercure Roxy has a new MRT station right Infront of it's property so travelling around Singapore has improved tremendously compared to previous years. And being located in Katong and Joo Chiat area, it has tonnes of food options and cafes within walking distance. Have to say Justin from the front desk was very cheerful and friendly, even though it was very busy when I was checking in. Highly recommend this hotel if you want a much local experience of Singapore.
