I had read some previous reviews and was dubious about staying, however decided to go ahead and was not let down. This hotel was perfect for what I needed, which was basically a place to stay over new year. The greeting could have been a little warmer, but when I had an issue with me key card,it couldn’t have been dealt with in a better way by a lovely gentlemen who dealt with our request politely and was very cheerful. The location is fantastic! I’d agree with other reviews that the rooms need some work, seems not to have had a refurbishment for a little while. It might be worth considering mugs rather than paper cups for hot drinks. All in all I enjoyed my stay, thank you.

Not worth the money at all - stay at a different Accor or any other hotel.

As one reviewer stated there are fairly mixed reviews regarding this hotel and I am afraid that the poor ratings are correct. This hotel is very lucky to be listed as a 4 star and I not sure how it can be. We came from staying at the Mercure Bastille which is head and shoulders above this hotel. One positive was the receptionist who greeted us for check-in. We checked in smoothly and she was wonderful. One of the nicest staff there, unfortunately, I did not get her name but she was Portuguese in case the managers read this. She mentioned that we were facing the Eiffel tower but could not see the whole tower due to the building in front blocking the view. Not the fault of Novotel. No-one offered to carry or even help me and my 13 year old daughter with our bags, concierge just watched us. Once inside the room it was nice enough. Plenty of room for the two of us. Cleanliness would be an issue though if you were quite picky or expected 4 star quality. I did. No amenities, no water empty bar fridge, no kettle but tea and coffee? No glasses just some paper cups, I ended up taking a glass from the bar to use. Room itself is a little run down, the reviews are correct. Doors seem to be falling apart, couldn’t shut the toilet door. Toilet paper was not checked or replaced so had to get our own. Be careful also of what the website offers as this is not actually what the hotel offers. There is some sort of room service but we never got to the bottom of it and ended up ordering Uber eats. The first night I called to ask for the menu, was told that there should be a card. I said there wasn’t and they replied there should be. I then rang reception to ask for a card and they put me onto the bar who had no idea what I was talking about. From what I can gather they only offer one meal per day room service but not even the restaurant seemed to know what it was. Like I said, it was easier to get uber eats. Ice is also somewhat difficult to get. The first day I was served by a very nice man at the bar who gave me an ice bucket and some ice however, the nights after that I was only allowed a foam cup with some ice and had to keep going down from the 31st floor to get more. Maybe it is to stop people drinking in their own rooms and drink in the bar instead. The women who were working at the bar seemed reluctant to serve and one even gruffly said ‘ what do you want’ – not the best way to make someone feel welcome. We then had dinner at the restaurant one night and that was also a strange experience. I rang three times to book but no-one ever answered the phone. I went down to see if there were spaces and needn’t of worried. Plenty of spaces. Service was a little lacklustre, not awful but not 4 star. It took me 16 min to get the waiters attention (there were four of them) to ask for my daughter’s dessert. I would not rate the location highly either even though that seems to be this hotel’s saving grace. It is a good 15 minute walk to the Eiffel tower and not very scenic unless you cross over and go down the stairs to the seine. The area itself is not nice, I went for a few walks in the direction away from the Eiffel tower and it was pretty seedy. Once you get to the Eiffel tower you do have access to the tourist bus or head up the Trocerdero. The metro Bir Hakem is about 8 minutes away but still not great. I’m a walker so it was okay but tiring if you had elderly or young kids. I would not recommend this place for the money. I am currently staying in a 2 star place in Barcelona which is streaks above this place. As an Accor member, I am very disappointed by Novotel Paris Eiffel tour. If you are looking for something classy, nice area and close to the metro, I would choose the Mercure Paris Bastille Marais. Right near the metro, lovely staff, gorgeous and safe area.

2 nights staying at this hotel. The location itself is good and located near shops, restaurants etc. The rooms are very basic at this hotel. The rooms are quiet and I did get a good nights sleep. The breakfast in the morning was very basic! The coffee and tea was not good and the cleanliness around the buffet was not the best. I would have thought this would be checked and cleaned more regularly! An example: serving spoons had food stuck to them and the plates resting the spoons were full of food, food was also around the plates and this was not cleaned whilst we were eating.

Staff in restaurant is not helpful at all. Most of staff is very aggressive. Poor varieties in breakfast. Room is very primitive. This hotel can be anything except being Accor . Good things: Location. Some reception people Bed is good

Hotel changed my room while I was at work - and "lost" all my stuff. Also other peoples hair in the bathroom.

Truly awful experience. On the second day of my stay, the hotel changed my room, without letting me know. The first I knew of this was when my key card did not work. At reception (long cues) I was told they had needed to move my room due to important repairs (room had seemed fine to me). I asked what had happened to the items that I had left in the room e.g. toiletries, clothes, phone charger, zoom call headset. The first response was that I should have taken them with me. (!!!!) After about 10 minutes of the front desk calling house keeping etc. I was told the items had been stored and would be brought to my new room. 30mins later and another trip to reception I was brought some of my toiletries and my zoom call headset. I told the person who delivered them that there still items missing and he explained there was nothing he could do about that. Headed down to reception again (no point calling as they did not pick up), cued again and was told a college from housekeeping was coming with the rest of my personal items. 30mins goes by, still nothing so I head down reception AGAIN. More calls to housekeeping, told again to go back to my room and someone will bring me the rest of my stuff. 30mins (approx) later I was brought SOME of my clothes but not all of them. My clean clothes had been placed in my dirty linen bag withe yesterdays travel clothes and under wear. My favourite T-shirt (gift from my daughter), my deodorant and phone charger still all missing. Headed to reception again, lots of apologies - but no action. after waiting a little while longer in my room, I realised I needed to eat soon it was now 9pm (this debacle had started at 6.45pm). I headed to reception, explained I needed to get a meal and that I expected my personal items returned by the time I got back. I was assured they woukld be, more apologies... Returned to the hotel at 11.10pm. Items still not returned. Night staff were very apologetic, and even tried to go down to the housekeeping stores to see if the items where there, unfortunately they could not get in because "they were just night duty, and did not have the access keys for housekeeping - who had all gone home for the night. " End result = - Hours wasted by hotel incompetence. - Still missing my phone charger, T-shirt and deodorant. (will need to repurchase the charger and deodorant, I am not sure if the gift can be replaced though :( ). Well meaning front desk staff where utterly unable to help. - There is little or no communication between front desk and operations. In addition: While waiting at reception I overheard the person next to me complaining that there was someone in their room (room double booked and key card given to both parties!). My colleague also staying here, got kicked out of the gym which closes early. He went in about 7.10pm because he also had issues with his room which took about 40mins to sort out. The internal internet had to be reset, so the bar etc closed as no till takings could be done. Conclusion: As a customer/guest you are not important here. There are some nice people at the hotel who want to help - but they clearly can't because of how poorly the hotel is managed from an operational side. Systems ineffective or broken, breakdown of communication across teams. Poorly trained staff who cannot use check-in systems etc. I would suggest the hotel manager be dismissed or given a much more junior position where they are not placed in a position which is clearly beyond their abilities. I will never stay here again - I recommend that you don't either. I am just glad I did not leave my passport in the room!!! At least I can get back home after a tiring and disappointing trip. Oh and one more thing. There was someone else's hair in the bath when I had a bath this morning. I always have a bath/shower any way - but definitely needed one this morning as I still don't have deodorant (it is such a small thing, but it does have an impact!) and I really don't want offend my colleagues. Normally someone else's hair in my hotel bathroom would make me mad - but to be honest by this point it was the least of my worries! I rinsed it out and just put it down the fact that this what you get when you stay at the Novotel - Paris Centre Tour Eiffel.
