Check in was reasonably quick nice to have two keys offered. Room was slightly bigger than the normal Ibis ! It was very clean and the ear plugs were a nice touch Hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants which is handy no problem getting a space. in the car park when ever I needed it but the ev chargers were not working not down to the hotel but it would have been useful to have prior warning Breakfast covered the basic food groups and coffee was not bad

This was a last minute booking for an overnight stay for business, for my trip it had everything I needed, somewhere to park(for Free so many places charge), easy access to the town and somewhere to walk out in the evening, food and beverage in the hotel. very easy to book in. great access to rooms and Wi-Fi. the welfare pod was different but I like the way it is set up. and the full breakfast was a nice finish. all in all a great stay for a reasonable price and i would definitely recommend the hotel.

Clean, warm comfortable. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. It should be noted that hotel is in a lively night-spot and is not quiet. (Didn't really bother us but some may not like it)

The room was clean and the wetroom was just right for my disabled wife. Corridor carpets could do with a clean. But it's a well used city hotel, so bound to get a bit grubby. Excellent breakfast, helpful staff.

Well located central hotel, very close to the train station, located on busy botchergate, but not too noisy inside, rooms could benefit from in built usb charging sockets, other than that great hotel for quick stays.

Rooms in this hotel are tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. All they've done in the last 20 years as an improvement is change the carpet to an awful lino type flooring. Hallway carpets are manky full of staining. The standard of cleaning in the room is poor - there was fluff, dust and dirt around the edges of the room and under the bed. Dust and stubble round the edge in the bathroom and some odd brown substance on the floor. There was some clown outside on the Sunday and Monday night playing music on their phone which was really annoying, and another clown upstairs stomping around. Then of course the delivery drivers banging around at 0700 so no chance of a lie in here. Also realised that the last time I stayed they didn't give me the extra 300 points for skipping the "clean" that they should have. All in all, pretty poor, I ended up leaving a night early instead of heading home the next morning. The only benefit of this place is the location, but it's not enough.

This is our 4th time at the Ibis Carlisle. The Location is perfect. However on this occasion the Room maintenance & cleanliness was very poor. We stayed for 5 days yet only got 1 of our towels replaced day 3. The soap dispenser was completely empty. The main light kept going off which I reported twice as it still hadn’t been fixed. The floor was filthy, I dropped something and when I got down to pick it up I was aware of dirt and a mess under the bed. We started going here after many years going to the nearby travel lodge. As we’d joined the Accor group and visit the Mercure Inverness this is a cheaper standard hotel but the room cleaning should be the same

Stayed with Ibis hotels in Glasgow and Edinburgh and this was below that standard. Corridor carpets stained and worn, paintwork flaking and scuffed, bathroom plumbing noisy and needing fixed, downstairs bar and lobby area is ok though. Didn’t try breakfast and feel perhaps there could have been more effort to show breakfast and bar food offerings? Did have some drinks which were fairly priced. It’s located right beside the nightlife of pubs and cinema and takeaways on a busy and noisy part of the city at the weekend when we stayed. Ideal for some I’m sure just depends what you’re looking for. Downstairs fine, rest of the place from what I saw was tired and needing attention. My partner suggested 1/10 but that isn’t fair… it’s a below average though certainly.
