We liked the innovative room layout: shower & loo in separate cubicles, and an exposed basin that makes it feel more spacious. We were also happy to find that our room had a view of trees across the road. Also we could store our touring bicycles securely inside the hotel ground floor which is a definite plus - it would be great if this information was included in every hotel description as a filter to make it easier to know when making a booking.

Stayed for 3 nights for world war 1 battlefields trip. Excellent location, lovely staff, the room was unbelievably large, clean, comfortable and equipped with kettle, fridge, safe, (usual provisions).Breakfast was great and staff very polite. A superb experience.

This hotel is extremely well located to visit the surrounding area as well as the beautiful town of Ypres. There are many eateries within a 1-5 minute walk as well as shops and other entertainment. The Menin Gate is also a short walk from the hotel where the Last Post is performed daily at 8pm, although it is advisable to be there quite early as crowds soon formed. The hotel is very comfortable and clean, with helpful staff that spoke English well. Breakfast included cooked as well as fruit, pastries and cold meats and cheeses. A very good selection that was replenished often. The seating area was also kept clear and clean with ample choice of free tables/chairs. There is an on-site bar that served both bottled and draft beers but apart from wine or a couple of cocktails, the choice of other spirits was somewhat limited if you didn't drink gin. Tea/coffee facilities were in the spacious rooms with a fridge and a nice coffee machine, along with instant sachets and tea bags. The selection in my room were all fruit teas but I managed to find breakfast tea bags at the coffee machine at breakfast. Milk sachets were limited to one each per person per day in the room and extras were available from reception. These were offered only 2 or 3 at a time so I did need to ask several times. This is only a very minor criticism as the whole stay was fantastic

As always our stay was great. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are modern , comfortable and clean. Breakfast is plentiful and varied with a large selection of hot and cold food. The hotel is situated very close to the Grote Market with a large selection of Restaurants. Also close to the Menin Gate. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Despite many drawbacks we stay here regularly as it is the only place with apparently wheelchair accessible rooms in a town that is very special. Nice and helpful reception staff, in central area. Room OK but not ideal for someone in a large electric wheelchair. Needs more power sockets near bed to suit two people with medical needs and bathroom door should be sliding as difficult to operate from a wheelchair. Not the hotel’s fault but the cobbles throughout Ieper present a huge challenge to a wheelchair confined person. Of course would stay again.

Hotel is in the perfect location for pretty much everything. Very clean and very helpful staff. Parking almost on the doorstep with 30 minute drop off directly outside in a fairly quiet street. Centre of Ypres, 2 minute walk.

We stayed for a short break at novotel, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and practical. Air conditioning a bonus is 35°+ when there. Location is great and will def go back.
