The initial booking was cancelled by the system so had to rebook - original price was honoured after contacting them by email. We received a warm welcome from Klaudia and her colleague. Breakfast was good the first two mornings but didn’t run as smoothly on the 13th - food and drinks not checked and replenished and tables left with pots on etc. Room was cleaned and towels replaced on the first day but on the 12th we returned to find the room had not been touched and the wet towels remained on the floor. The lady on reception quickly gave us fresh towels and apologised saying she would credit points to the account. She said we needed to request the room to be cleaned. I understood that if we didn’t want the room cleaning we should put the card on the door before 9am and instead points would be credited - we did not choose this option. We had a meal at the hotel on the Sunday evening. We were asked if we wanted sauce (which we did) and were charged 70p for this but didn’t realise until later as nothing was said.

Wed Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

This was just an overnight stop for us on the way South. Convenient location close to the M6 but not on it. Room and en-suite bathroom were fine, although no heated towel rail. In our first room the carpet was in need of replacement but in the second it was new, so there is obviously a refurb programme in place. Very helpful reception staff. Dinner available at a pub next door.
