Beds are hard carpets are filthy

We had an overnight stop to meet with family in the pub next door. The Ibis was perfectly located, decent price and plenty of parking.

First room had a terrible bed that creaked on every tiny moment. Changed rooms which was slightly better but very tired rooms. Felt uncomfortable walking around barefoot. Felt grubby. The breakfast was a farce, no cutlery and couldn’t keep the food topped up.

The room was not cleaned very well, the light was flickering and the lift feels like it is going to break down very soon. Overall the hotel just needs to be updated new paint and kept clean and it would be amazing. The staff all where extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast was brilliant compared to a Premier Inn.
