Staff always make the difference, they were great attentive, pleasant and efficient. The hotel condition was good and breakfast was as normal with Mercure.

Problems in both rooms that I stayed

First room was unacceptable. Tv turned on by itself, green light facing the bed, bed with wheels, no windows (when I asked for a room with window). Second room was better, still the sink did not work properly. For 280£ per night, probably won’t return

Great service, well looked after. Very pleasant greeting from reception staff on arrival, very helpful with information and directions to tube. Upgraded to a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the road, was a bit noisy.

Our first room was unacceptable, but the people behind the desk were extremely helpful in getting us a more comfortable room, and they also brought out luggage to the second room. Everyone at the Mercure Bloomsbury was very helpful and pleasant.

Well located, better than expected

Hotel well located, clean, modern. Room was available early and check-in process good. Room was as booked, in a dark corner with obscured window so a little claustrophobic, bed king size as booked. Room amenities OK. Toilet/sink hardly functional, shower good size. Major down side was breakfast whereby quality of ingredients poor (even a croissant!) and coffee frankly undrinkable
