Huge nosiy air-conditioning unit outside our room.

Our 1st floor window opened onto a roof with a huge air-conditioning unit. This unit was extremely loud and constant the entire evening. When asked by the staff on reception if everything was OK we did complain about our lack of sleep. The reception staff shrugged off our complaint by saying they themselves had stayed in that room and that the noise wasn't that bad. We then asked to speak to a manager, not something we'd usually do, but no-one was available. We were assured someone would call us in the coming day, two days later and we've had no contact. Apart from this lack of sleep the hotel was relatively clean but very tiered and in need af refurbishment.

Friendly and competent service. Room had several issues. Phone and TV did not work. AC took a long time to cool. Bathroom door squeezed, All were repaired when brought to the staff’s attention

Shabby, tiny room. Filthy net curtains. Dodgy electrics burning my hand on a plug when removing it from a socket. Tiny bathroom and you can’t even sit straight on the loo. Ditto the shower - I’m average height and build but couldn’t stand facing the shower. No water provided despite my booking email telling me there was. Towel rail broken and electrical fitting loose. Floor slippery: no bath mat: No disability access. NO FRIDGE IN ROOM - had to beg for an ice bucket to keep milk cool: milk provided in sachets left exposed to sunlight and curdled. Some of the reception staff very rude: only good thing were the staff in the breakfast room. Overall very poor, not worth the money, AVOID!
