Staff were brilliant but hotel is tired and needs an update. Had to change room during stay due to faults in the room but new room had various faults as well. Restaurant is closed, despite still showing open on website

There was not instant hot water for the duration of the stay. Despite staff knowing about this 3 days prior to arrival we were not informed untill we discovered this ourselves. I have requested part refund however I am being ignored. This is not acceptable. I have given 3 stars as the room was tidy and bed was comfortable. The tv did not work properly and was not watchable.

Quiet room OK stay Many things seem to have been removed using covid as an excuse (eg tea/coffee in the room) and some parts of the hotel look tired.

I had no hot water fro the shower in the morning despite running the shower for a while. I was unable to ask for assistance as it would have left me late for work. Otherwise beds comfortable and slept well

Moved rooms because the air con didn't work, to find didn't work in the next room. Gave up as we were already running late. Room key also kept failing although kept near nothing magnetic. Sound proof is absolutely awful as well. Was due to stay 2 nights but left after one due to how bad it was.

Happy with hotel location, staff and value for money. Lots of parking nearby. Room itself was in need of refreshing, ie decor, fittings, carpet, paintwork.

Shower broken and noisy

The shower was totally broken and it had previously not been reported by the cleaners etc Got woken up by the people in the next room entering and shouting at 0230 noisy was kept up for 45 mins and reception didn’t answer when I called

Room was ok liked the chairs & coffee table, the shower had no pressure and the water was cold, took long time to get warm. If at all. Hotel location is excellent close to Russel sq tube

Upon arrival we were told there would be no sit down breakfast, just a bag of food, none of which was vegan besides an apple. It seems strange in 2021 that it is not possible to cater to different diets. There also seemed to be an insect trapped somewhere around my window which buzzed intermittently and woke me up at the crack of dawn. I couldn't set it free unfortunately, it seemed to be behind a panel at the side of the window. Room 405.

I was single occupancy and had requested a quiet room. It was quiet but also very small and the view was a black wall (room 409) Only had a bedside table on one side of the bed. The only negative comment would be the quality of the shower. Temperature of water was luke warm and the shower was unstable & difficult to use. I felt safe re covid. The breakfast package was vg too.

Shocking room and below standard shower

The bathroom door is all damaged inside there were marks all up the wall in bathroom water temp on max was tepid. Rude service by Sunday morning regarding breakfast, the paninis were inedible and everything else was poor so we didn't eat breakfast at all . As a very experience mecure guest this is the worst one , asked for a taxi to be ordered which was but couldn't tell me who with and the price given was far higher than told. Room was extremely tiny for a twin to point it may as well not had the bases separated as they were almost touching so sleep was poor but comfy mattress

This Hotel is nicely located in Bloomsbury with access to 2 tube stations. Initial feelings were good, nicely welcomed but no facilities - Bar etc. The room although comfortable was a bit on the noisy side as it was at the front of the Hotel. There were 4 windows in the room and I don't think one of them shut properly. The shower was hanging in the bath looking sad. The head had come away from the hose - it worked, just. Once hung back up it just looked wrong. Hot water was nearly non existent I had to turn the temperature knob to fully hot to get some sort of warmth out of it. The flow was not too good either. There were a few marks on the carpet in the room and all the bed light fittings felt as if they would fall apart it you touched them. The bed was comfortable though - a good point. Breakfast was a joke! a bag of bits. a Croissant jam and butter, a pack of warm sweaty cheese, a pot of oats, an apple and a muffin. Then there was only what could be described as a travesty. A foil pack with something that looked like 2 bits of carpet with a bit of ham in the middle. No idea what that was meant to be. I didn't bother the second day. In fact both days I went down the road to a bar and got a good hot breakfast for less that £5. Accor you need to sort something out as your prices are far over the top and what you get is not worth bothering with - A rip off if you ask me. Not a Hotel experience I would have expected with the Accor group. Mercure Hotels are better than this.

Staff were incredibly helpful - despite being assured by the telephone reservation centre there would be somewhere to leave luggage, we found out on arrival there wouldn't be. Staff enabled us to check in early and have a late check out so we could keep the room. Room basic but clean and tea/coffee facilities always available in reception.

Close to British museum and Sir John Soane Museum and lots of restaurant. Hotel good with friendly staff. Breakfast was only OK because they had no bacon or sausage on day two of our stay. Hotel wasn't that busy so no excuse.
