Suitability priced for location. TV was faulty and shower leaking in original room so asked for another and got free upgrade. However, replacement room had no hot water. Only stayed 1 night so skipped shower & shave. Receptionist really helpful and friendly.

Easy stay, loved my room. Few things need fixing here and there but overall great. Fire alarm went off at 14:30 one day, shame I was doing a night shift, this could maybe be moved to earlier or later? Also, the air fresheners in the hallway are really strong. But otherwise I loved my stay here, staff friendly and helpful and cleaners always willing to help out despite the challenging times. Thanks!

Covid restrictions meant food and facilities were limited, but the overall condition of the room was a disappointment. Air conditioning unit turned on but didn’t function, hot water was tepid, windows were dirty ( on the outside) and bathroom tiling was dirty. Paint was also flaking off the bottom of the bathroom door.

Tired and noisy room

The room I was allocated was very tired in terms of decor.The net curtains brown with dirt. The bedside light the far side of the bed had a bulb missing and the shade loose. I couldnt have the window open due to the noise either from a generator or air con unit. I found the corridor noisy from other guests who were in and out of their rooms during the night, and was told on departure by the staff that there was nothing they could be do about it. Funny as it has always been addressed in other Accor hotels if other guests are causing disturbances during the night. There was a sense of I cant be bothered by the staff.

A well placed hotel spoilt by unwelcoming service and non or badly functioning essentials. Very few rooms being used so one would hope they would be checked for functioning TV and towel rail, neither of which worked. I was offered another room that faced a wall but tv was also not functioning there. No one offered to just come and try it. I appreciate no engineer on tap but surely all rooms intending occupation should be checked for these things? Such a pity. Would not stay again. i was going to a funeral and would have like a little tv 'company'! Gwyneth

Needed to stay recently for some hospital visits. Chose Mercure as thought it'd be nicer than a Travel lodge or Premier inn. Very disappointed. Hard to find staff at most times. Kettle in the room but no tea/coffee/milk/cup and couldn't find anyone to ask. Some parts of room visibly dirty. Most parts of the room chipped/scuffed/tired. One small bottle of shower gel available - no hand soap, anything else. People could be clearly heard all night in nearby rooms. Paint missing from multiple points on communal stair well.

Close to British museum and Sir John Soane Museum and lots of restaurant. Hotel good with friendly staff. Breakfast was only OK because they had no bacon or sausage on day two of our stay. Hotel wasn't that busy so no excuse.

Waited to check in whilst staff talked amongst themselves. As a gold Accor member I wasnt offered a room upgrade although we did get two small bottles of wine in the room. Only one towel and only toiletries for one which is a real bugbear of mine and something that is easy to remedy. Staff refused to serve us breakfast and sent us to reception to prove our booking included breakfast. Once I showed them my email booking confirmation we were allowed to get our breakfast.....no apology. The room was very clean, warm and quiet. Checking out was quick and efficient. There are cheaper and better hotels nearby. Nothing in my stay would persaude my to visit again in my regular trips to London. Sorry Accor, as your hotels are usually excellent value for money.

Location was perfect with many attractions within 20 minutes walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was well laid-out, with everything you would need and an excellent shower. The room service was prompt and polite. The restaurant was very good indeed with a decent choice of food and wine which offered great value for money and high quality. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

1: We booked a superior room. I am certain the only difference between a superior and a cheaper twin room is that the beds are pushed together in the same sized room. Hence a 30cm gap either side between the bed and the bedside table. And the gap in the middle. And the subcompact size of the room, and single armchair, only one person could sit and watch TV. No room for another chair anyway. I suspect Trading Standards would be interested that standard rooms are been sold as as superior in this manner.. 2: Useless shower over tiny bath, I repaired the fitting myself as it had fallen apart. 3: One small towel provided, had to ring down to clearly harassed reception for more. 4: Welcome drink: two tepid bottled of white wine, still unopened. A drink in the bar, as in evey other Accor I've staying in would have been,err, welcome but then... 5: ....bar shut by 10pm. Should be open until 12:30 according to brochure in room. 6: We stayed here a year ago and were told, after finding a similarly unacceptable situation, that there was to be a refurbishment programme. Clearly no progress has been made. 7: If this property was branded as an Ibis I might be a little more forgiving. Even so I won't be staying here again.

Pleasant stay in well located hotel

This hotel is not far from Euston Station, yet less than 30 minutes walk to the Thames. It's near the British Museum and Covent Garden. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Breakfasts are tasty and dinner at the in-house Marco Pierre White restaurant is excellent.

Hotel is well located and staff are friendly and efficient. Room was nice if a little small. It was a nice touch to give us some snacks and drinks when we arrived. The room had all the facilities we needed including iron/ironing board as well as tea/coffee making facilities.

I have stayed at this hotel previously and I am a member, the room was very small and we needed to use the torch on our mobile phone to see into the wardrobe, the area around the shower was brown and when we wend out someone had tipped my foundation onto the dressing table and smudged it. As a member I expected the same standard as previous for the same price as previous.
