Nice room, great bed and lovely breakfast. Nice staff. Downsides are very limited parking, lifts are difficult to use and the building work outside had a noisy compressor going from early Sunday morning.

Dirty brown stains on walls, brown stains on bed sheets No towels in room Receptionist had a disgusting attitude Room had no air con Room wasn’t ready when we arrived Was told we can have travel cot and fridge in room and coudlnt!

Dear Ms N D., I met with you on your arrival and we spoke by phone on Friday evening. I apologised that rather than making you wait for the preallocated room to be ready we changed your room and then when you felt the room was too crowded with a sofa bed and cot I personally took you to an alternative room that you were happy with. I arranged a mini bar to be added to your room despite this not being the standard of room that you booked and the room attendant assisted you moving your belongings. Your partner declined his assistance and built that travel cot himself as he was expert at doing this. At each stage of our conversations you were assisted promptly and with respect. I checked our own website and booking.com, both of which you stated had false information. I found neither advertised air conditioning or minibars in standard rooms. All the pictures showed the room you were allocated with the sofa bed down so adding a cot was indeed going to reduce the amount of floor space available. Myself and every member of my team you spoke with apologised for the inconveniences you faced during your stay. I offered you the opportunity for a full refund and rebooking an alternative hotel but you decided that you wanted to stay for Friday night and depart the next day as you were happy with all that we had done thusfar. A refund of the balance of your booking was processed and I explained it could take up to ten working days for this to be available in your account depending on your bank. You then sent me messages on Saturday morning, sadly I was not on duty, showing a stain on a sheet and marks on the headboard under the bed. Sadly my housekeeping team were unable to confirm that this was not caused during your stay and indeed when I showed you the room on arrival this was not visible to either of us nor did you raise this on Friday evening. Your feedback is valuable and we addressed your issues promptly. At Novotel Glasgow Centre, we strive to provide a clean environment and excellent service. Your concerns have been noted. Thank you for bringing them to our attention and offering us the chance to make you happier, we have arranged for you to receive on top of the All rewards points for your entire stay, including those nights not used and additional 2000 points to use in the future. Bad smell

When u arrived in my room there was a really awful smell that I would describe as sewer pipes. I went to reception to tell them. The lady there almost anticipated how I was describing the smell which made me think it was an ongoing issue. The man went up to my room to check. He came back and said there was no smell but it had been a problem so if it came back he would move me rooms. Don't really think those is great, it was so off putting and if it's a known issue my word should have been taken for it. Add to that my WiFi in my room didn't work I had to sirens the evening working in the bar and avoiding the smell. Staff were lovely just not very effective.
