Great buffet breakfast in a nice location

I had the buffet breakfast here with friends. The selection was good, and everything was hot. I also thought it was pretty well priced at $38 so we will be back! The only thing that wasn't 100% was the waffles which are a bit thick and are likely not freshly made but commercial ones?

We had a good stay in this hotel. We were mainly here to get over the jet lag. The hotel is not located near the center of town, but we did not require this. The room was reasonable but we requested to have the desk chair removed to have a bit more space. The only really negative is the hall way to the rooms. This feels like a "prison hall way" It can have some colors or extra lighting. There is a nice outside area and we enjoyed just sitting in the bar/lounge area.

We arrived in Auckland a day early and had no accomodation booked. I checked the ALL site to find Ibis/Novotel Ellerslie close by. They were very accommodating , so welcoming and everything was seamless. The Bar area has a lovely friendly atmosphere , we ordered food and ate there after Happy hour and stayed a while . Our room was clean and comfy and the bed was great. Every staff member we encountered was happy , friendly and helpful. Front desk staff all made us feel special and Welcome.

An average stay at a standard Ibis

My wife and I spent two nights in the Ibis at Ellerslie in Auckland. It was an absolutely standard Ibis found throughout the world, which was OK as we knew what to expect in the hotel. The hotel was totally full the first night because of a major concert in Auckland but most of those left the following morning.

This hotel was over priced...I was charged double what it was worth considering its tiny size and very basic capsule bathroom. (reminded me of a backpackers double room) The internet didn't work either. The bed was comfy enough though, and staff were fine.
