Great location for visiting the opera house which was my main point of call during my trip. Very friendly staff and welcoming staff, the breakfast was great (although a little pricey, but convinient to have it available at the hotel and the variety on offer was very good). I was able to walk to all the main attractions I had booked, and there were a lot of good places to visit in the immediate area. I had a premium room overlooking the canal and I'm glad I opted for this, it made me feel more like I was in Amsterdam specifically. It was nice to look out and see the boats going by and just enjoy being by the water. The rooms are basic but I quite like that about Ibis. A bit of wear and tear showing which is why I marked the rating down to 4 rather than 5, but I would absolutely recommend this hotel for a short stay. As a solo traveller, I also felt safe and supported by the staff when I needed them.

We stayed for one night and the room was fine for that. It was meant to be one of their deluxe rooms, but we found it really small and tight for space for 2 people. Lovely view over one of the canals. Reception area is really nice. Our room was quiet and we slept well. I thought it would be closer to the main sights but it's about 30 minutes walk out, or a 5/10 minutes walk to the metro station which takes you a bit closer. Bathroom is tiny and barely fit for purpose!
