Poor level Of services and very small rooms for the Four stars hotel

Very small rooms without typical ammeties that normally we have on this level , such iron flat , tooth brush , for instance , the breackfast time is very short , and the response time for customer servicie is very very long time.

We just got back from a Vantage Venture river cruise to Normandy and back. The hotel, where we stayed 3 nights, was the perfect location, a block from where the ship ties up. We took the train from CDG to the Cluny stop, and then tansferered to the #10 line to Javel stop, and we were 1/2 block from the hotel. The Javel station is perfect for the metro lines to central Paris. The hotel was clean and basic but pleasant, and the reception staff English speaking and very helpful.

Handy location with plenty of services near by, train, bus, supermarket. Tidy rooms bit bathrooms very small. Nice breakfast but again small area to accomodate guests. Staff helpful and able to speak English.

We totally understand that space can be an important criteria to evaluate some hotels and we would certainly love to have a few square meters more for our breakfast room but in this lovely city space is a rarity. Miserable Mercure Mirabeau

I had the inglorious misfortune to stay at the Mercure Mirabeau for 2 nights in mid September 2018. I had chosen the hotel because of its location, near to where my business meetings. I had reluctantly booked it at what I believed to be an outrageous price of €365 per night. However, with hotel availability tight and seeing it as rated "4 star", I was looking forward to the 4 star experience, and chose the option of "breakfast inclusive". It was utterly disappointing. First, the 4 star rating? It begs the question as to who rates these hotels? On both mornings, the "hot servings" of breakfast - scrambled eggs, sausages, and bacon were cold. Yeuch! On the second morning there was no fruit available! And the hotel has the audacity to charge €25 for breakfast if you don't include it in your booking! To make matters worse, when I was half way through my hot breakfast, I found a long black hair in the middle of the bacon slices! AARRGH! And the glass provided in the bathroom for drinking water was actually a paper coffee cup. All this for an exorbitant overnight rate and rated 4 star. I don't think so. When I raised my concerns with the attendant at the reservations desk I was advised to take them up with the manager who of course wasn't there! Then there's the WIFI - or should I say, the appallingly bad WIFI. I found it impossible to open a web-page! Terrible quality. That was my first and last visit to this hotel. Not quite the "mercurial" visit I had anticipated!

It is of course unacceptable to have a breakfast experience like the one you had and I strongly believe that this was an exceptional error with no precedents. In terms of pricing and rating there is not much we can do to convert your opinion, the rating corresponds to a certain fulfillment of criteria which we provide and the pricing depends strongly on the season your are booking in. As mentioned before, we try to offer you a very warm and professional welcoming but some things might not always be at the standards we want them to be. I sincerely hope that at some point you forgive some human errors and give us a second chance to receive you anytime soon. The service at this hotel was excellent! All of the front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They always greeted us and were eager to answer questions and give advise. Christian was especially nice. The location was perfect for us. The Metro was just outside. There were many restaurants to chose from and close grocery stores. The room was a little small but it was very clean and in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable and the a/c worked very well. The room also had a safe, which was handy. It was also a very quiet room until around 8:30 am when housecleaning started cleaning rooms. There was always a lot of slamming doors when the rooms were being cleaned. I would recommmend using a doorstop to keep the door open or using a towel to keep the door from slamming. The slamming doors at 8:30 am is what I liked least about the hotel. The friendly staff is what I enjoyed most.
