Everything seemed very ambiguous. Check in was completed in a matter of seconds, no explanation of anything, parking, restaurant, breakfast etc. There was information about parking ‘in front of the hotel’ was €12, so we didn’t park there but still got charged. We booked a wheelchair accessible room, and even checked on arrival, but didn’t get one. Five nights of that was quite awkward. The room was also quite small.

Check-in was a breeze, the staff were friendly and professional & the view from the room was astonishing. We should have checked prior, though realised the room did not have aircon, which I thought was standard in any hotel - hence why I never checked when making the booking. All in all, a pleasant stay overall, would recommend and stay again.

I have been coming to this hotel for many years and enjoy the location, comfort quietness, as well as the refurbished rooms! However the breakfast has gone down in quality inn the last year in my experience.

This Mercure hotel wasn’t up to the standard as at other Mercure hotels we visited. The decor in the whole hotel looked a bit tired. There was only one pillow for each person and they were very lumpy. I never had such a bad pillow in any hotel. There was a missing bulb in one of the lamps on the bedside table and it took 3 days to be fixed. We weren’t made aware of the Garmisch Partenkirchen card that gives us free transport and other benefits. There was poor temperature control in the room. The only option was to open the window. There was only one duvet for each person. It would have been nice if there were blankets in the room as well. The pool and the sauna were nice but the door from the sauna are to the locker room got stuck if not forced shut and people could see you in all your nakedness. The door to our room wouldn’t shut properly at times. Once we came back because we forgot something and it was open. We weren’t made aware sure we shut it. At times we were in the room and the door was shut and it suddenly opened
