We have just returned home after staying here for 1 night from nye to new year’s day. We had 2 rooms which cost a lot for what they were but i’m going to put that down to it being nye and probably would’ve found it to be the same all across the city. The location of the hotel was perfect, especially for the pink zone for viewing the fireworks. The hotel is a short walk from the shard and surrounded by many bars and restaurants. The room itself was okay the bed was very comfy and the bathroom was a good size. The room did have a pretty run down looking sofa bed which just functioned as a sofa for us as there was only 2 of us. Apart from this the hotel was nicely decorated, lifts are extremely small though. Can’t comment on the breakfast as I wasn’t up in time but they did store our bags for us free of charge all day. Would probably return in the future

We've spent all our vacations at Accor hotels, and for each hotel on this trip, I communicated in advance that I had difficulty sleeping with noise and requested a quiet room. This was the only hotel that didn't fulfill my request. Congratulations to the reception team for their excellent planning, and especially to Rosane e Vinay from the café who was always attentive and helpful. I arrived and they hadn't "remembered" my request and only had rooms with a street view. The soundproofing between secondary and superior rooms is also not good. The reception area has been renovated and is pleasant, but the elevator is missing a button, is slow, and the rooms are old. The bathroom door is damaged, the sheets are rough from being washed so often, and the old mattress is disgusting to sleep on. Honestly, I'm disappointed. It's not worth even a third of the price charged. The location is great, but it needs many improvements to maintain Mercure standards. Another issue was the lack of empathy. I explained months ago, in the same week I booked an additional night, that the airline changed my flight and I later managed to reverse it, so there would be no loss whatsoever, and yet they refused to cancel a single night's stay. But overall, this isn't the Mercure standard I'm used to; the price doesn't match what's offered, and I won't recommend it to friends or the travel agency I partner with. I didn't find the stay fair or pleasant.To top it all off, the old carpet in my room gave me an allergic reaction and bronchitis; I'm feeling terrible. And the elevator broke down this morning, and we had to walk down four flights of stairs! Never again!

A london home for my office trips! Love the mecure, great sleep, friendly staff and all the essentials you need for a business trip. After trying many hotels I found the one to make my base when I travel from Scotland to London for work. Love it

I booked a room for a family trip in November last month, and it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel is perfectly located close to Tower Bridge and Borough Market, which made exploring the area very easy. The staff were absolutely amazing from the moment I walked into the hotel and throughout my entire stay. The bar area is very cozy, and I really enjoyed having a glass of wine whenever I had a quiet moment to myself. One staff member in particular made my stay truly special. Vinay looked after me exceptionally well and provided excellent customer service. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options to choose from. I will definitely be coming back again, as the team made me feel very welcome and special. Thank you!

Beware of Reception

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times. Apart from the appalling performance of the 381 bus that serves there, all else has been good. This time at reception, having reserved, paid in advance, done on-line check in and produced my Accor Platinum card, I was told, quite disturbingly that I must now provide ID. Although I did not have ID to hand, I was able to produce from a bag. I find this situation grossly unsatisfactory. There is no legal requirement in the UK to carry ID.
