History, glamour with wonderful caring staff

A most wonderful stay. Yes the building is historic, full of stories of bygone days but it was the staff that made it really special. Ben on the front desk, Leo in the American bar, Mark in the Beaufort bar and many, many more. We loved the riverfront restaurant for breakfast and we ate one night in the galleries; lovely meal, what are normaly ordinary dishes but delicious and served in a unique way that my husband throughly enjoyed as a shared experience! Also must thank the pianoists who each wonderful singers. We'll definitely be back.

Historic luxury on The Strand

This has to be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment you drive up you are treated like royalty by every member of staff you see. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the recently renovated rooms, all the amenities you would expect and more while still managing to keep the historic charm. The service, the food, the staff, I cannot say one bad thing about this hotel. It may be expensive but this will be an experience you will remember for the rest of your life - treat yourself!

A perfect stay

We just had our yearly stay at the Savoy, and it was absolutely perfect. We have been doing this for several years now and even though it does cost a bit it has become one of the highlights of the year for us. It is an investment in happiness and good memories. We had a lovely junior suite (room 500). This was one of the newly refurbished rooms. They are in the process of refurbishing all rooms and as “old guests” we have been a little worried, but we liked it very much. Great design, great attention to details, a great update on the technical side with a new lighting system, but still in the Savoy style. But as always it was the staff, the people, that made it perfect. After having stayed at the Savoy regularly for years it feels like coming home to good friends that happen to live in a nice place. Genci, Rob and Tony at the door, the concierge team, and especially head butler Attila and Rose the perfect breakfast hostess all made our stay special. Every single day that starts with Rose bringing you breakfast is automatically a great day. In this time of AI and modern hotels without staff, their motto should be “The Savoy – by real people for real people”. The countdown to next year has begun!
