Room is reasonably priced. Mattress and bedding are comfortable. No long wait for hot water. Housekeeping friendly. Location within walking distances to many tourist attractions, fine dining, and shopping nearby. Safe area to walk the streets in late hours, a big plus. Will stay here next time to Philly.

Pros: Comfortable room and bed. I slept well. Convenient location and the staff were friendly & helpful. Cons: A little stingy on supplies for the price. I didn't appreciate that the fridge was entirely filled with minibar items and we were instructed not to use it for health reasons. Almost every hotel I stay in has a mini fridge for guest use and everyone's health seems to be ok. Only one herbal tea bag for two people, no makeup wipes in the bathroom, no legend telling you which coffee pods were which variety of coffee. No blanket for the couch and pull out bed?? My husband huddled there under his coat after waking in the night.

Bonjour Ms. B., Thank you for your thoughtful feedback regarding your recent stay at Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square. We are delighted to hear that you found your room comfortable and appreciated our convenient location and friendly staff. We acknowledge your concerns regarding the amenities provided in your room. Our policy regarding the minibar is designed to ensure guest safety, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter. We continually strive to enhance our guest experience, and your comments regarding the availability of additional tea bags, bathroom supplies, and coffee information have been duly noted. Regarding the blankets, we regret any inconvenience caused and recommend informing our staff during your stay, as they are always willing to assist with any additional requests. Thank you once again for your insights, and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Best regards, Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square

A wonderful hotel from start to finish located right in the heart of the city and close to everything, the staff was amazing from the valet to check in to the restaurant and bar excellent service. Above and beyond Excellent was Dash, he is the nicest man and wants everyone he comes in contact to be seen and served, I can't find enough words to describe how incredible he is.

Check-in was great / personable. Was only staying for one night with my wife for anniversary. Room was a bit dingy, but fine. Frustrating that when she went to shower the shower instantly filled with water (not a minor backup), so we couldn't use it. Was already 11pm and we were there for one night so didn't bother asking to change rooms. We typically stay at a 4 or 5 star hotel in Philly once a year and unfortunately this didn't work out. All of the employees were great.

The rooms were nicely appointed, and public, meeting, and fitness spaces were excellent. Food (through a meeting) was great. But I found the bed and pillows slightly uncomfortable, I did not sleep well which is unusual for a hotel stay for me.

It was great, thata it However I think was was charged for the taxes that I already paid when I made the reservation and prepaid, who do I contact to get that straightened out?

Parking is terrible. First it is $60 plus $15 tax per day. It is almost half the cost of the room per night. In addition, waiting for my car to be retrieved is the worse... more than 25 minutes and the system notification was poor. My car was already in the driveway while the system said my car was still being retrieved. I parked elsewhere for $15 a day. Now to the room cleaniness, the floor near the night stands are dusty and the room could use top down cleaning more often. The bathroom on 2nd floor was out of hand towels (paper). The hotel need to improve in Parking, Cleaniness, and Monitoring their environment (ie bathrooms).

The hotel is well located. The staff is nice. But our room was a little shabby. A little beat up. The bathroom shower was in need of maintenance and deep cleaning. It was surface clean. There isn’t enough counter space in the bathroom for a couple. The mini fridge that was delivered wasn’t clean either.

I specifically asked for a clean room, instead got a totally dilapidated unit with soiled carpets, rust, mold, scale broken shower and more. Which rep called luxury suite - even the inns are cleaner and nicer, and worst service, rude staff, car not called by reception, waited 20 minutes, then went and asked again outside who said they were never told, no bell man available, waited for luggage - one of the worst hotel experience. never again.

We booked a hotel block with Sofitel for our wedding and stayed there 2 nights. Overall service was great but they were poorly responsive to us leading up to the wedding when trying to book the bar for the after party. My bridesmaids used the suite to get ready for the wedding which worked out well with plenty of space! They did comp our room the night of the wedding since we had booked enough through our hotel block, but they said we would get a free bottle of champagne the night of the wedding which we never actually got :(
